If you are poor, I can see how Obama spending that relatively small amount of money on dinner could raise an eyebrow and cause someone to post a thread about it on the internet but if I was you bigtexx I would just get to work on that American Dream lazy-ass so you too can eat high end. ;)

Obama makes $400,000 a year and is already a millionaire. I don't see the problem here.

We haven't even got to the watermelon or purple drink.

According to Sean Hannity, circa 2009, the president only eats imported kobe/wagyu beef.

I don't think that analogy is very good. Without a government, the rich man has no basis to gain or keep his wealth. So here's my analogy:

I own a barbershop and let out my 10 barber chairs to barbers. I provide the facilities, do maintenance on the shop, handle the accounting, do all the marketing, and keep the peace bewtween barbers. Barbers can come and use a chair and cut hair. One barber in particular is very popular; he's efficient and does a good haircut, and pulls in a lot of money. I steer as much business toward him as I can, especially the important customers. Another one is really bad, but I can't get rid of him. I only give him business when all my better barbers are occupied. Sometimes I feel bad about him not getting any business, so I'll buy him some lunch.

Now, how should I charge these barbers? If I were to close up shop one day, the bad barber would be only slightly poorer than he was when he worked in my shop. But the popular barber who was raking in dough would suddenly stop making all that money. Without a place to cut the hair, without the marketing to bring the customers, without the maintenance and back-office work to keep him working at cutting hair, he's screwed. And, he's got a mortgage to pay, wife and kids, and some b****es on the side. So, his willingness to pay for the services of my barbershop is significantly higher than that of the bad barber who has little to lose. Even the 8 barbers between them who are earning a modest living have less to lose. So a flat rate or even a per-head rate doesn't seem fair considering all the advantages this popular barber enjoys. Give how great this arrangement has been for that popular barber, he should pay a premium.

1)Obama had a skinny frappucino at Starbucks when he could have had something similar at McDonald's and saved .99c. Obama is a fail as a liberal and someone who cares for poor and working people. He would have donated the .99c to the poor if he was a true friend of the 99% and not a hypocrite..

    2) For HIghtop A school said that students must have collared shirts instead of whatever they want to wear. Ron Paul would never put up with that abridgment of The Constitution!!

    You're really, really, really reaching.

    Again.

If I had a s***load of money, I'd have the occasional $300 dinner with my wife, too.

Funny how you never posted this stuff when Bush the Lesser was President.

I think this plays into the "I'm a black Democratic President so any money I spend is hypocritical" Republican belief. As if black people will say, "Can you believe this?" as opposed to, "Hey, the brother got a right."
