If Rockets bring in Gentile next season, one (maybe even two) of those 3 are going to be moved especially if KJ is also re-signed. Likely Morey uses that NOP 1st on a stash player like Porzingas or Hezonja. Rockets cannot go full youth movement if they want to contend for a championship. At the same time, they cannot abandon the acquisition of youthful talent either. It's a balancing act that Spurs have pefected.

Morey might want to trade the pick, but if he isn't offered value, he will keep it. A good player on a rookie contract, that's gold, especially since DM doesn't have the flexibility that he had 1-2 years ago.

So, does Kerr throw his remaining two games against the Pelicans? Or, at the very least, the one in the last week of the season?

Root for Phoenix. Wish they hadn't have traded Dragic now.

OKC will still make the 8th seed. Westbrook is about to show the wolrd what hero ball is really all about. And then get swept in the 1st round.

Yeah. Big winner here with the Durant news is Golden State. They will have the best matchup in the first round regardless, it appears. With Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka, OKC could have been a brutal draw for a #1 seed.

I dont know what to root for.

I want OKC to miss the playoffs very badly. I also want a top 14 pick.

Actually never mind. A top 14 pick should be a priority. Sorry AD. Maybe next season you can make the play offs.

I think we lost on purpose to Suns to keep them competitive in race for 8th spot.

Wishful thinking on your part. Our limitations are obvious. Let's hope Dwight will come back healthy soon.

This is beautiful. Utah has been balling too. I know it's a long shot, but it would be nice if they somehow passed New Orleans too.

I highly doubt Utah can make up 5 games in the loss column in ~13 games, but one can hope! What we should be hoping for most is for Tor/Chi/Was/Pho to stay ahead of NO and hopefully have Milwaukee pass them up (they are down by 3 games in the loss column).

With Holiday/Asik/Anderson out and Evans battling through injuries, there is a chance they really struggle down the stretch, which could really improve our standing in the draft!
