so you don't think he was too wasted to be as active as he was in the first 3 quarters? if there's an area for improvement, then why not improve on it? it's a good thing yao doesn't have the laid back mentality.

its not fickle. its good observation. and its absolutely true. sorry not everyone is so emotional that they can't see the big picture.

How about this for a big picture:

if Yao manages 38 and 10 every game, he'll be the best player in the NBA.

This thread is about one game, not the big picture. So don't derail the thread.

Great win!!! Guts, heart, etc. I was elated after this one single game!!!

    derail my fun...

Foster, Pollard and co. were beating him all night and he still managed 38/10/5. The man was dog tired. Any big man would have been. Name another 7 footer who would not have been fatigued after fighting with double and triple team all night? I do not think any one should blame Yao if the Rox lost the game.

Gee yeah, that move made it appear almost as if Peja is FASTER than Yao!

WHY should they be heavily criticized even if they had lost this game ??

TMAC played okay before he tweaked his back again.....If someone is to be blamed then it has to be the coaching staff (or Keith Jones) that allowed TMAC to play, with the risk of further aggravating his back.

As to Yao Ming ???? Conditioning problem ??? Playing 37 minutes on a back-to-back ??? You have to be kidding. Can you see the beast in him, playing with heart, passion, fire and energy ??? Did you see the pain he was in when he took a knock on his knee in 3Q ?? Do you know this is his 3rd consecutive 30/10 and season-high score of 38 ??

If it was not Yao Ming, you think this team has a chance to win this match ???

Yao's inability to find a cure for cancer is RUINING the world (aka Big Picture). I mean he is 7'6" after all.

there are not many better PGs better than Alston right now.
we don't have a chance to get the few (nash, paul, parker, kidd) that are better.
Alston is one of our best players and is doing a great job.

I realize Alston is one of our best players, but that's the problem. The guy plays no D, there is not arguement against that. It shouldn't be THAT hard to find someone who tries his ass off on defense, is quick, and just brings the ball up the court, sets the play and passes it. If you can't make an open 3 as a PG unless you have some SERIOUS strengths elsewhere, you should not be in the NBA.

Rafer Alston is good, I like him, I want to keep him, but I just want him to play D. In the last 5-7 games, name a PG that he has done a good job defending.

    Miller? No.
    Arroyo? No.
    Iverson? No.
    Nash? No.
    Blake? No.
    Johnson? No.

I mean, I can understand Iverson, and I can kind of understand Nash, but if you let Carlos Arroyo, Blake, and Anthony Johnson light it up over you, that's terrible.

Also, Alston could afford to make a couple more OPEN shots, not take, m a k e.

He turned it over a lot in the clutch against the Pacers, but other than that, I think he does a great job.
