    A lot of cellphones can take pictures these days. Just borrow one from your friends if yours can't do it. Then pretend you are talking on the phone when you drive by. Mission accomplished. :D

    I think what you really need is a mini-computer, notebook, hand computer or whatever with wireless network. Then you can carry that with you and report to the BBS every five seconds.

    Like when you froze you can ask for advice and I'm sure people here will push you over the hill.

    At this point, I think you'd be better off going into the coffee shop for lunch. Tell her that the whole the bat boy was kind of funny, and you are sorry about the whole mess. Then tell her to get a fellow worker or employee to snap a foto of you two so you'll always remember the weird incident. Then tell her not worry you won't offer a ride anymore, and you are sorry you caused so much trouble.

    well...in with some crappy news about my attempt at the coffee shop.

    i got there, and asked if she was in - the guy said she wasn't, so i asked him if he by any chance had her phone number, because "it is an emergency." he asked how i know her, i told him a boldfaced lie, saying she has been a very close friend since high school. so he got me her number...

    ...so...stupid decision #1...asking for the number.

    stupid decision #2...phoning the number...

    i got in my truck and called the number. a guy answered the phone.

    stupid decision #3...not hanging up.

    i asked if she was there, he said - "yeh, but can i ask who's calling."

    "a friend..." i replied.
    "can i have your name?"
    "mike"

    i tried to lie - i mean, everybody knows a guy named mike...don't they?

    i heard him telling her, "baby, mike's on the phone"
    she replied (quiet muffled, but the idea of it was...) "mike? who's mike?"

    "mike, why are you calling?" he asked me...
    "to talk to jessica"
    "chad, she doesn't want to talk"
    "but i have..." (then i realized he called me...chad).

    stupid decision #4...not hanging up.

    "uh, my name's mike"
    (i could hear her in the background asking something or another and him replying..."yeah")
    "listen here you sick ****, i don't want to see you again, or hear about you again - she is mine - stay the **** away."

    i didn't know how to reply to that...so i didn't.

    "you hear that, if you drive by there again, i will get you, i will be there waiting for you - and if i see you, it's over."

    he then hung up.

    i'm starting to think the picture idea is a really really really bad idea...but never say never...i'll give it a try tomorrow.
