Right now, I am sitting here, reading this, in a chat room with a handful of other OOTP geeks, listening to "Heaven and Hell" by Vangelis, just finished drinking a Mello Yello, drying my light clothes, and having my dog, Jake, at my feet looking at me like I am from outer space.

The question I have is this: am I making that up or not?

I liked MacBeth/JAG's posts.

I remember he was also called out as a multiple UID guy by Heypartner and maybe R2K or someone doing site work here...though it could have been a big argument and misunderstanding of addresses, it did put a little seed of skepticism (this was before the stories) in my mind.

Then came the stories of living with 5 or 6 models women and how women always wanted him and how Tera Patrick wanted him....I was never sure if it was true or false and never claimed to know. It was definitely entertaining.

The only time I seriously doubted MacBeth is when he (I say pretended) to post drunk, and it was not too often, but he did it enough. To me, those posts were obvious fakes. I mean, when people get drunk and post, like Fatty, they can type stupid or insensitive things, or even errors, but (just my opinion here) MacBeth was just fakin it every time he was doing that. Like he'd post something like:

"skjdfjg blah blah, I'm so drunk. My 5 women model roommates are tyriaje tasy trying to get me off the computer .asdofj "

I haven't done a search, so I'm sure the details of my memory aren't 100%, but that's just what i remember as my perception of MacBeth's drunk posts.

Whatever.

MB didn't say he lived with models. He said he lived with a bunch of female students at the college where he was a professor (associate I think) and that he'd modeled in the past. Also, his posts were filled with typos whether he was drunk or not.

 

Yeah, replace Mello Yellow with Shiner Light, OOTP with a friend of mine and "Heaven and Hell" by Vangelis with The Preakness pre-race, then you've got my current situation.

My favorite MacBeth tall tale was the power blackout in the northeast a couple of years ago. Something about gathering around a fire, eating "pails of ice cream" and making new friends as crickets chirped just sounded too Norman Rockwell for me.

my favortie macbeth tale was where he tried to tell us vince carter was a supreme basketball badass whose skills would put kobe and tmac to shame if only everything else in the world, and especially the refs, weren't holding him back. oh, and he wasn't injury prone either. now that's a good one.

 

There's a difference. Some of Macbeth's posts amounted to nothing more than verbal masturbation.

 

I think the standards for truth should be much lower in the BBS hangout during the off season. I mean, come on, I know Star Wars is fake but I still cheered when Yoda force-squeezed the Emperor's guards in the nuts.
