Am I possibly the only person who doesn't like tamales?

To me the corn to meat ratio is never meaty enough.

That is when the tamales are the best.. when its like one pound of "masa" exploding out of every crack and opening on the leaf, and all you get is a dab of meat or beans. mmmm.. you're heart doesn't know whats good for it!

Nothing in particular.... I just like the whole feast/family thing. Eating until it hurts, listening to grandpa's ol war/work stories... and trying to stay awake for football.

You're gettin' gypped, man... where're u buyin' these measly tamales?

And, for the record, the singular version is a "tamal", not "tamale", while the plural is "tamales".

Mine doesn't count as Thanksgiving food, but I get it on Thanksgiving since I'll be at my folks.

My Mom's biscuits and sausage gravy. Yum!!

    Che, vos sos un pelotudo!

Wowowow girly. Don't lump the whole continent as making tamales. Contrary to rumors South America is not one country.

I don't really eat tamales on account of the lard used for the masa. However, the other day some guy was selling them out of his van. He told me that lard was used only for the pork and that chicken fat was used for the chicken. I bought two. Pretty good I might add.
