absolutely nothing and i hate it

every year we always get those packages from kroger's or randall's but last year i told them i would cook it myself...and i sure effin did. made everything from scratch:

    -stuffing
    -mashed potatoes
    -green bean casserole
    -gravy
    -corn bread
-cole slaw (i had a craving for it)
    -pumpkin pie
    -prepared the turkey myself

it's pretty impressive for a then-22 year old with no prior thanksgiving experience. but this year, they just want to go the easy route..

my stuffing was good....had cranberries, chicken and earl campbell sausage in it..mmmmm

We are having Thanksgiving tomorrow and the fam' is coming to our place. I'm cooking everything today so that tomorrow is a day full of eating and liquor. Rundown of what I'm making:

Sweet Potato and Leek Soup with Candied Pecans
    Squash Casserole
Slow Cooked Green Beans with Onions and Bacon
    Cranberry/Orange Sauce
    Cranberry/Jalepeno Chutney
    Pecan Pie
    Pumpkin Pie
    Champagne Punch

Well after posting a thread about alternative Thanksgiving day plans a few weeks back I decided my wife was just going to have to deal with Thanksgiving without her Dad so we had it at our house.

The day before I baked pies with my Grandma. I made the crust and she made the filling (she can't cut the flour into the crisco anymore she's getting too old). We baked 4. 2 pecan, 1 pumpkin and 1 chocolate.

Then on Thanksgiving I personally made 2 turkeys one roasted and one fried, garlic mashed potatos from scratch, fresh green beans, fresh corn on the cob and some rolls. Oh and I can't forget real brown gravy from the drippings. Emmmm emmm good.

My mom and sisters brought some cassorolls, I'm not sure what they were cause I dont eat them.

All in all we had 22 people at our house and a great Thanksgiving.
