For the first time it looks like I will be hosting the Thanksgiving dinner, so I s'pose I have to supply the turkey. Where can I get a good one that's already spiced/whatever and all I have to do is pop it in the oven for 6ish hours? I searched old threads and found two recommendations: Hebert's Specialty Meats & Demeris BBQ's cajun fried turkey.
Paging AnotherBrother Is Heberts still open. note you need to order it this week btw. if you know some driving from to Houston thxgiving week, you can ger one from Woody's in Centerville. good luck
You could fry one yourself. Heard this indoor fryer is pretty good. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/but...ey-fryer-by-masterbuilt?repChildCatid=1250805
Not many. It will probably be 5 people (adults), with 8 at the most. I already have a deep fryer but it isn't deep enough to fit a turkey. It's great for wings and pickles though!
I want to buy turkey but already cut into pieces... i.e. I want 2 breasts (who doesn't?), 4 legs, and 2 wings. Is there a butcher shop in Houston area that Clutchfans would be able to recommend? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
Go to HEB and get one of their fully cooked turkeys. I think the Cajun is the best but they are all good. I believe it only takes about 4 hours to cook and they will probably have a meal deal going on with it with a bunch of free items.
This is your best option unless you don't mind spending a lot of money elsewhere for similar quality.
You can get the whole meal through Boston Market. That's what my wife and I are doing since we're having everyone at our house this year. You can order everything now online and pick it up and pay later at your local restaurant.
