Just because i feel like it.

If you shopped or shop at Fiesta for the Holidays. PLEASE feel free to let me know how the produce is. Im in charge of Grocers Supply Produce warehouse and we supply all produce to Fiestas. I have been very committed to making sure the quality of the veggies and fruits get to the consumer as best as possible. Ive had my guys sit in hours of training on how to properly stack and place the boxes on the pallets. Last night my guys worked till 4am and we got the last truck loaded about 6am. I have dedicated myself to making the produce quality match the quality of our consumers (Fiesta, Rice, Foodtown, La Michochanna (sp), etc shoppers.) I can just hear what corporate or my bosses have to say but sometimes those are just to politically correct, so i would like some good honest feedback. Not expecting a lot of responses from this fourm but hey this forum reaches a lot of people. Ive also posted this to my facebook because i truly do want to make a difference not just in the company but to the customer too.

We ordered our entire meal from Hubbell and Hudson in The Woodlands and are doing the same thing for Christmas. We consider ourselves food snobs and think their catering is fantastic. The holidays are much more fun when you don't kill yourselves cooking.

not really. brine (or buy kosher), roast on a rack higher heat (~400). put some stock or root veggies in the pan so the drippings don't burn. start breast side down for 45 min, on one side for 15, the other for 15, finish breast up for 45 min.

let rest 30 min, carve. do not tent. recipe is for a 12-14lb bird.

Only way to do a turkey right is to fry it.

If you have whole foods their turkeys are great. For the past 3 years my friends and I would get whole foods thanksgiving packages and they're delicious.

I was frying turkey's (and better than any other fried turkey I've ever had) back in the eighties. I fried my last one about ten years ago because my brined and roasted ones got just SO damn good. I got a Hutterite bird awaiting it's bath right now.

I would try your recipe, except it's too late. My turkey plan is already under way.

Pappas BBQ.. CALL Them now.. They "Smoke" not bake the turkey.. So much better. When I'm feeling a lazy Thanksgiving I go the Pappas route.. They can do anywhere from 300-500 per Pappas bbq store so call now. Also ask for it Hot when picked up. They will give you Styrofoam cooler to put the turkey in.
