Enough comparisons of kids sucking momma's t*** to Tmac, ok?

Every time an athletic, long perimeter prospect decides to play in the NBA everybody compares them to T-Mac

Qyntel Woods was proclaimed the next T-Mac, where is he?

Travis Outlaw, Marvin Williams, Rudy Gay were annointed the same way. That's just insane. They are good players but what seperates the greats is their ability to handle the ball like a point guard and their feel for the game.

Players like Kobe, T-Mac, Lebron are once in a lifetime players. Freakish combinations of ball handling skill, court vision, size, passing skill, soft touch, good hands, athleticism, IQ, star quality, personality that allows them to persevere through the NBA grind and perform in the clutch..

There are a lot of long athletic players. None of them are the total package like T-Mac

    Enough

I just hope some of these 4th quarter collapses we've seen from this team are not a precursor to "Choke City" :( I'm sure many of us could do without living through that part again.

If you spend some time to read the thread, you can tell it's just a flame war between Yao Ming's fans there and the other posters. I think the idioit who started that thread did it in response to the other idiots who said Yao should force a trade to go to a California team (I think they say the Lakers or the Warriors). And then some other people jumped into the discussion and so it's more than 10 pages long now. This kind of flame wars happen all the time over there.

thtas exactly right...even when TMAC is in, he doesn't have the fire anymore...You see it in Kobe, Iverson, Garnett...why not TMAC...i think its time to make a move...man if we could get Ray Allen..he would be perfect for this team...

dude, who cares if the injury is his fault or not...we are nto here here play nice and wait for Mcgardy..this isn't the YMCA..winning counts...he is a nice guy and a good teammate but we want Championshps....we can't win consistently without a 2nd scorer...

Yeah because Ray Allen is so great at creating for his teamates  . In fact, other than the FT line, Ray Allen isn't shooting that much better than T-Mac (+2% FG and +3% 3PT) and we all know T-Mac had a very slow start but he's been picking up his game very quickly

We need a great shooter, yes, but you forget that we only get open looks when T-Mac is on the floor. When he is not, it is very difficult to get a shot and we have to end up feeding the ball to Yao each play (who has been doing a phenomenal job, though) to score or create offense. Creating offense out of the post is a lot harder than from the perimiter, especially when your man drives and kicks. The reason passing from the perimiter in is easier is because usually your perimiter passer is better than your post passer (in this case T-Mac vs. Yao) and the perimiter play is usually more versatile making it harder for the defender to slack off and double the post. And we all know if you don't double team Yao it's pretty much a bucket. And we all know the defense wouldn't dare leave Ray Allen open, so some one else's man would slack off, probably Rafers'.

Also, when the defense has to cover back to McGrady if he gets the ball back from the post (in this case the perimiter passer) the defense has to rotate to guard him leaving other perimiter players open (Luther, Shane, Rafer  ) and maybe even the post player again (Yao Ming).

If you watch the Sonics games, Ray Allen just doesn't play the passing game anywhere near as well as T-Mac does and the passing game from T-Mac, or the primary ball handler, is vital to this team. But that's just my opinion. The only thing Ray Allen is better than T-Mac at is shooting, and so far this season it's not by much. Ray Allen may shoot the FT a lot better but it's not like Ray Allen is a beast at getting to the line himself.

If you want to trade T-Mac for his back, that's a legitimate reason IMO. If you're saying he has no fire, that's not true. Before you let your frustration blind side your judgement, look at how he played the few games before he got injured, especially in the game he DID get injured. He was posting up, taking it to the rack, creating, scoring, hitting jumpers, everything to help this team win. I think that's fire enough, what else do you want? You want screaming and fist pumping?

Again, shopping him because of his back is fine BUT who's going to take him? T-Mac is in Houston to stay no matter what.

actually it's not a bad idea to bring SF back from Knicks as long as there is a pay cut. Trade Rafer Alston + Sura to Knicks... or someone.

SF can be our third scoring option, and he is not the same selfish play like he used to be.

I've watched every game in Orlando where we won our last championship in 95. The people here still hate the Rockets and are glad T-mac was traded. I was glad at the time too, but this getting old. If he's not going to play, or retire to play baseball, DO IT!
ANother thing I've noticed is that JVBonehead is not playing guys like Steve Nova, JL3, and Spanoulis because they're prone to mistakes.
Did anyone see us down by 2 in the last 4 minutes of the game and Alston come down and attempt a 3? Poor decision on his and JVBoneheads part.
He needed to come in there with a sense of urgency and get the ball to Yao. Instead he thinks he's shooting 75% from the arc. He doesn't know how to run this offense(Which right now is YAO) and Van Gundy no longer knows how to coach. This season looked doomed the day Tback went down with his injury.
Why don't we trade for a real point guard?
