He doesn't need help if the game is 36 minutes. A good backup will be a big help too (to give Yao some desperately needed rest).

It is not his fault to have back spasms. However, it is his fault to take $17m and Rockets don't have a good backup when he is injured.

Im sorry to burst all these TMAC Downer's bubble, but Tracy is sacrificing him self for this team, I spoke to a trainer a couple of days ago and he informed me that he takes CZ shots in his back everyday just to deal with his back, if u can't respect that, u can't respect anything.

Hope t-mac get better quickly. Some people just can't overcome losses, so they are whining and criticizing everybody. Sadly t-mac is implicitly the biggest target. If rockets really get out of their mind and trade t-mac, no playoff in at least 2 yrs. Without t-mac, Yao can grow more rapidly. So when mac is back, they will be huge.

Can anyone quote the trade value of TMac. I know it's very low right now, how about we play him as first option (Yao as the second option) when he is back and trade him before the allstar?

    Your genius is profound
    Your soul is mesmerising
Your fellow GM has amnesia and forgets his back issues

    Cortisone shots

Cortisone is a type of steroid that is produced naturally by a gland in your body called the adrenal gland. Cortisone is released from the adrenal gland when your body is under stress. Natural cortisone is released into the blood stream and is relatively short-acting.

How does the cortisone injection help?
Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. Cortisone is not a pain relieving medication, it only treats the inflammation. When pain is decreased from cortisone it is because the inflammation is diminished. By injecting the cortisone into a particular area of inflammation, very high concentrations of the medication can be given while keeping potential side-effects to a minimum. Cortisone injections usually work within a few days, and the effects can last up to several weeks.

What are some common reasons for a cortisone injection?
Many conditions where inflammation is an underlying problem are amenable to cortisone shots. These include, but are certainly not limited to

    Shoulder Bursitis
    Arthritis
    Trigger Finger
    Tennis Elbow
    Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

He might have been Rudy Gay. In all seriousness it took a new coach to make Hakeem more than a stats man and that's where the true familiarity lies. Whether you think JVG is a great coach or not the guy has brought bad karma to the Rockets and it is time for change. Too many injuries too amny attitude conflicts and too much grumpy all add up to too much negative Karma. Sometimes **** happens beyond the coaches control but then it puts a negative cloud on the team and it just can't be overcome. Hakeem became a champion after coaching change and Yao can too but lets not wait 5 more years.

Sorry for the late reply...busy weekend....

Maybe it is the coach. I don't dispute that. But the players continue to play hard for Coach and they continue to support him unless their name is Bonzi Wells. There is only one negative aspect on the team and it seems to be Bonzi. The minute someone like Battier or T-Mac or Yao or anyone outside of that says the coach needs to go, then we can talk about coaching. Have you seen whats going on in NYC? Thats bad coaching.

About T-Mac. Injuries are part of the game. You play hurt or whatever. Of course I blame T-Mac for a bad back. Its his back. And the Rocks are paying him to perform. If he is not on the court, then we are paying for nothing, right?

My post most of all was from the fact that I saw all this before. Back in 1987-1993. Thats my main point. If Mac has a bad back, retire. If you get better, then play. I don't want our team to have an Allan Houston moment.

I don't bandwagon either. Read my posts from 1997 and see if that is the case before you accuse.

No wonder he keeps having back spasms(BS). Repetitive CZs cause bone loss.

    Is that true?

Wow. I can't believe the medical staff knows this and continues with the treatment.

I just close my eyes and imagine a healthy T-Mac, Yao the Dominator....OMG...I love Christmas! :)

He will get healthy before he gets injuried again, and he will be flashy for a few games. However, I don't think he will EVER live up to expectation. As a fan, I don't want to hear excuses, I just want to see the results because excuses don't make rox win.

The problem of JVG is that he is a very good coach who refuses to lose. For example last year, if Rox can lose more games with a bad coach, Rox might get a better draft pick instead of having to trade away Rudy Gay.

Again this year, if JVG is a bad coach, Rox might be 8-15 instead of 15-8. That could give the team a reason to tank for one year, grabbing Greg Oden or Kevin Durant who is a younger version of T-mac. Then you pair Yao with Greg Oden, or Yao with young T-mac and old T-mac, Rox can be a perennial championship contender.

Spurs did it that year with Tim Duncan in mind, they have been a contender for so many years.
