I hate to agree but it is true T-Mac is done and no matter how good he makes the Rockets that back will always be on his mind and that alone is the cause the Rockets so seriously think about trading him. I just can't stand seeing the great T-Mac go down like this, he deserves a whole lot better with the crap he has gone through in his personal life. If he is traded I wish him all the best. I only wish it could still be for the Rockets and H-Town but it does not look good at all.

Now if Yao goes down, we have a MAJOR problem. The truth is at best we are the 4th or 5th seed in the West. And we probably will make the playoff as the 6th or 7th seed. The key here is taking care biz against weak teams, make sure Yao doesnt get injured, monitor Tmac's minute. This is still not a contender team.

We need a guard that can (1) take the ball to the rim and finish and (2) feed Yao creatively. This first element takes pressure off Yao and creates more open shots, and the 2nd one makes Yao more effectively. Currently, Yao's offense is very predictable and static as no one can feed him at the right moment and place, except Tracy. However, Tracy's back has prevented him to take the ball to the rim and finish.

CD should stop screwing around and get something done ASAP. Yao can only do so much by himself, we need that second guy so bad right now. Can we get AI without trading Mac somehow?

I'd take one step further. Can we get Kobe without trading Tmac somehow?

    Yeah it's not his unwillingness.

He tried and for 4-5 games before the injury he played hard, took it to the rim, knocked down jumpers, found the open man, posted up, just about everything.

His back went out on him probably from all the extra strain on it even though there isn't a direct relationship yet.

He tried but his back failed him, nothing else he can do unless he tries to play through the pain (like so many fans want him to do) and injure himself even MORE.

He's had back spasms all his career, if this episode happens again very quickly after he gets back then there will be something really wrong. As of now this is nothing unusual to T-Mac.

Plus, last season was the only season he sat out that many games for back spasms and most of them were at the end for some other unrelated injury (but still to the back).

Only time will tell, we have to wait 'till T-Mac gets back from this injury to see where his status is at.

Right now, it doesn't look good.

if it comes down to taking on bad contracts of less talented players then i'd still be happy that we at least have players that will play.

all this team needs is a couple of outside scorers to balance the floor and get defenses from playing a 5-on-1 zone on yao.

i'm pretty sure the wolves would be interested in a package that starts with davis and james. sure we take a talent drop but i bet that we would have the same record or better if we had those 2 instead of tmac from the start of the season until now.

who knows, maybe we can do better than that...maybe we can't even get that (although i couldn't imagine the wolves turning that down).

all i know is that tmac is a sinking ship. we can't stay on board. standing pat means wasting the next 4 years of yao's career.

Just curious, where was TMac. I heard that he traveled with the team, but I didn't see him on the bench.

Eventhough i Love T-mac, I am a rox fan first. I am willing to give him one more chance. lets see what will happen when he returns on tuesday.
Lst's face it Yao has only 4 years of prime time left according to shaq. if we don't put together a championship cablier team...Then we will be lottery team for another 7 years...

Why do we want to do that? I thought AI is the one wanted to be traded! No! I love Mac so much I want him and Yao win ring(s) together.

Come on, Yao can't be that bad. TMac without Grant Hill made the playoff 3 times in a row.
