I loved his classic quotes, his deadpan style, and the fact that he didn't kiss primadonna player butt.

Yes, JVG did his best. Great talents plus great coach together win championships. Even Zen master Phil and Kobe can't pass first round without enough talents.

Rockets blame the wrong guy for the loss. With an up-tempo game, Rockets may be back to lottery nest season with the same crew.

What I appreciate most about the guy was he just seemed to love the game and did it the right way. No people-pleasing, no beating around the bush, no wishy-washyness, no slacking off for him or his players, no tanking games (I still support this philosophy), loyal to his players, always did what he thought would help his team win even though it wasn't popular (yes, could be seen as stubbornness but I call it trusting your own judgment), knowledgeable, gained respect of his players, went through adversity without excuse-making (remember 05-06?).

So close to beating the Jazz. Things would've been different. Oh well, cya around JVG.

I loved his sense of humor. He was really starting to be a likable guy, especially this past season.

peace JVG. its a shame too many people have their heads up their arses to notice a good coach when they see it. No one in the league could have got more out of this team

"It will give someone for Billy to (complain) to, so that will be good," coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "We'll just sit him right over there and Billy can (complain) to him about how he's getting (shafted). That will be good."

    my only memory about JVG.

A classless joke from the man in power.

JVG is a petty petty head coach.

Adios, JVG. Appreciate your efforts in turning this team from a lottery bound team to a playoff caliber team

    Happy Trails JVG.

You were a fun guy to photochop.

Here's the most memorable one I did of you.
