I have two older cars that now need a lot of minor work. Virtually everything I need to do is on Youtube. I can't understand why someone would film themselves changing an EGR valve or an airflow sensor just to help a stranger out, but they do, and I appreciate it.

Used it to fix and tune up some bicycles. Amazing how fast things have changed in the last 10 years.

Yep. I used it in nursing school to review demonstrations for various techniques and also to explain various physiological, pathophysiological, and pharmacological processes. It really helped. In fact, my actual books from nursing school still look new: I used Google, Wikipedia, and YouTube as my primary study aids. I started doing these things just because it's faster than going to my shelf and hauling down a 20 lbs. book and flipping through a bajillion pages, but I quickly discovered that sites like these have revolutionized studying basically made textbooks obsolete.

As others have said, I've also used YouTube for various mechanical fixes around the house and on my car.

Hell, I've even started a vegetable garden. I'm only growing cucumbers right now, but YouTube taught me how.

    YouTube freakin' rules.

Agreed, I did a few DIY fixes around the house thanks to YouTube.

Most impressively, I learned how to play piano.

    From a cat, no less.
