I gave all of my Pumpkinators to my regular bartender. Wish I saved 1. Not sure that flavor meshes with crawfish though man. Ruby would.

My wife likes the grapefruit Shiner. I blindly picked up a sixer of Shiner Premium, expecting a heavier version of their bock, and was really worried when I poured it. It ended up being a very good German lager. Great summer beer, I'll be buying more!

Yuck I would never pair that with crawfish.
There is only one beer I drink with Crawfish.

    Southern Star Blonde Bombshell.

I like shiner, all the varieties I've tried except light.

Are the rubies hard to find or something? like some of these special editions that people immediately run out & buy up completely, then craigslist for profit? Or are they in krogers & heb etc.?

I've always liked Shiner bock. Tried a few of their brews but Bock is the best.

One that I did liked was their 100 commemorator.

Good thing that micro-brews are taking off in the states. You can see it in this town as well. Before there was only St Arnolds. now we have:
No Label, Southern Star, Karbach, Fort Ben Brewing and Buffalo Bayou Brewing

Agree with a few others that there is descent beers brewed in TX. Good thing is we also live in a huge market like Houston and we can get tons of belgians, bavarians and micro-brews from the USA

Regarding Divine Reserve, a friend said this year's batch is really good. Others have not been so great.

I haven't had this year's, but DR 11 was a great double IPA. So great they turned it into Endeavor.

Duvel and Three Philosophers are not tripels. Noob.

Also, I think you told me you hadn't had any of St. Bernardus's stuff. In which case you're in for a treat when you try their tripel. But if you want a truly top-tier quadrupel, get their Abt 12. You can find it at most Spec's.
