Old man you're right on point. JVG never had an original idea before, during, or after the game. The offense was based on one on one posted up. We rarely got layups in the half court game or fast break. The game was a chore everynight. Yes, we beat the crap out of crappy east coast teams, however, we got murdered consistently by upper echelon teams.

Different team, different result....so are you saying you are happy with Rafer and the results?

I don't act like anything, I just type on a message board (admittadly...a lot)...and yes, mine are just opinions......

    Just like yours......

On JVG - my opinion was agreed with by the Rockets brass (I would say right, but theirs is just an opinion too), how was yours?

Your opinion wasn't "right" it was just the result that the front office (or at least ownership) decided to go with. It is only "right" if the next coach takes the same roster and does more with it.

    haha i agree.

"be careful what you wish for" should be the warning for all of the JVG-haters clamoring for his exit and Adelman's arrival.

JVG had his faults, but we need to admit to ourselves that Adelman is a somewhat inferior substitute. Adelman has his PROS, no doubt, but his CONS outweigh JVG's faults by a ton.

This, along with putting rafer on the bench AND bringing in someone who can shoot, or at least penetrate and score, to play point WILL make the rockets much better immediately.

Any team with talent can play defense when it matters most. Just as the Indianapolis Colts.

Winning is about not being stupid on offense down the stretch.

God help us all if Les is listening to the fans on what to do and what not to do.

Old Man Rock, great post. I totally agree with your points.

Hope the next coach knows both offense and defense, play smarter ball, and get most out of players.

I'm sure we have no influence on his decisions-this is a business

Right. Consumer demand has no influence on business decisions.

We'll never know since the next coach will be smart enough not to build a team of one dimensional spotup shooters...Battier, Alston, Head...who can't get their own shots.

Yeah, you say that because you don't agree with me about a few topics.

They are all just opinions, I just happen to believe mine are right, and glad Les agrees with me.

yeah... like how van gundy got a yao-less team to go 20-12.

he really had a hard time "getting the most" out of them then.

So, it is JVG that got the team to 20-12 not the players, but it is the players that failed in the playoffs not JVG.

The Playoffs and the regular season are exactly the same thing...

We didn't do well against the better teams but we did win most of the games we were supposed to. That is good coaching of a shallow team. We were exposed in the playoffs. Our team just didn't have the supporting players. We could not make baskets either.

Btw, have you tried Ritalin ? It can work wonders.
