Rick's style will definitly be more fun to watch. However, when our players go down with injuries, I would like to see how much his high powered offensive schemes keep us above 500. My only hope is that, we have the core of defensive players who have retained the knowledge they have learned while under JVG, and that Adleman will jsut have to work on the offensive end.

Who do you like in a 1 on 1 Hoop-It-Up of Adelman versus mini-Ditka?

The Rockets are showing themselves to be a bush league operation. Negotiating with Adelman before they fired Van Gundy was crap. The spin that they fired him because he refused to accept another position with the Rockets is just as bad. As for the move, itself, if anybody thinks that this roster had more than 52 wins in it this year they are drunk. The only chance they had against the Jazz was their home court advantage. With the no-shooting scrubs they have littering the roster right now they will get their doors blown off if they open it up and run with the elite teams. It's the roster, stupid. It wasn't Jeff Van Gundy who turned down Mike James because of a trade kicker. It wasn't Jeff Van Gundy who showed up to camp looking like Rerun from "What's Happening" and quit on his team.

    What?

It was JVG who wanted Rafer instead of Mike James when Sura went down...we would have NEVER had to pursue Mike James at all....he would have been RIGHT FRICKEN HERE ALL ALONG !!!

    Thanks JVG !!!!!!

You show me where the "intelligent fans" said that. I friggin dare you to find 3 people that said that since according to you multiple "intelligent fans" believe and said this.

I can't believe our board is split, once again, on another issue such as this that I believe is not a hard decision.

Bring in Reggie Theus! He knows discipline and he can be the NBA players coach that we wanted for so long. As long as Michael Jordan and the Bobcats don't grab the dude first.

Yeah, right here sucking just like he did in Minny!!!

Get over yourself man you act like you some freakin' basketball genius when in reality you some guy on a chat board like the rest of us voicing an opinion. Unfortunately for the rest of us you like to clutter up the threads with you opinion ad nauseum.

It doesnt matter who the coach is. We are still going to lose games and ppl will b**** and complain even if we win 52 games again. Les cares about money more than he does about winning. It sure will be an exciting season, even if we win 44 games. Unless something is done about players.

IMHO- The Houston Rockets should be in getting ready for the Western finals- just like Utah is. We had our chance!!!! Recall in the game in Utah - beginning of the 3rd quarter- we came out flat. We had no energy and Utah took over the game. We could have won that game in Utah - enabling us to win that series.

Recall the 7th game -we got ahead in the 4th and still lost......We should be in the Western finals-IMHO- Van Gundy will own part of that responsibility. He could not motivate his players, adapt to changing conditions, or gut it up in a crucial situation. Van Gundy could not handle the big games.

It is time for a change - there were squandered opportunities we will never get back.

I will show Van Gundy more respect here than many have given Rudy.
