There's a danger to largely unproven players deciding to stand up for their "rights" and get the money they think they deserve. At some points, the teams around the league just decide it's not worth the bother. DMo was always pretty good, but he was never so good that teams would be willing to put up with the kind of nonsense we've seen from him and BJ over the last few months.
Then nothing. If he plays well, good for him. Seems like a nice guy, albeit a little misguided. If he plays poorly, good for us. We dodged another bullet, like we did by not matching the Mavs on Parsons. Either way, we'll be fine. Morey will somehow, improbably, find someone of value to help us out. He always seems to manage to do that.
Then we will see you holding an Ipad running naked on Westheimer while screaming "Dmo's is my hero?" And even when that will happen, do you think KPRC will be interested on your story or Dmo's?
Because we gave him away for nothing. Make no mistake both sides screwed this up - this could have gone much nicer, and we could have had him playing right now....... This is 100% about philosophy, and bullheaded negotiation tactics....cost us an asset. DD
The Rockets cut this player because he failed his physical, its the same as the Rockets cut all those players in the training camps for years, because their performance is not up to the expectation or standard this team requires. Are you calling those scrubs that the Rockets cut as "assets"?
More bullshit slander. No surprise. We could win it all and you'd still say Morey should be on the hot seat. It's the only card in your deck apart from overvaluing an unusual number of (always white) role players.
