I'm trying to be as optimistic as possible, but I don't see how our team as currently constructed can beat the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics or Cavs in a series. Add the Magic to the list too if they resign Turk. Granted, I am assuming that T-Mac will never be the same player...at least not next season.

"Thank you for not being the Astros.
destroying talented playoff teams across the league." When is the last the Rockets were in the Championship series?

Great post and I don't think I've ever felt more confident in any Houston GM ever more than I have in Morey

With the way the board changes its mind every other day, I'll give you guys 10 seconds to grab your pitchforks and go hunt him down if no huge deal goes down... ;)

That is how I really felt

    This thread pissed me off

Of course everyone knows who has been on this board for more than 2 seconds that I do not take meds and I call it how I see i.

And I see this as the absolute worst time to say thank you Morey. We are all waiting for a blockbuster trade and thanks for brooks and landry and lowry is just stupid to say now. But yes if his goal was to get me to look at this thread he is smarter than I thought

It boils down to one thing guys. If you love the game, then your going to be a great manager. ( see Daryl Morey ) If your in it for a title and a paycheck, then your gonna suck and ruin a once prominent franchise. ( see Steve Kerr )

You know guys, If we are going to start an appreciation thred, then let us not forget about the man for clutchfans even existing.

    Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon

We were really spoiled when we watched him play. I know I was. I took for granted what he brought to the floor every night, and I will put him alongside the best players of all time. He played the best defense in the leaugue, and it wasnt just blocks, he would steal the ball or poke it away because he was extremely fast with his hands.

Then there was his offensive repertoire. I put him only behind jordan. Dream had the ultimate post game of ALL TIME, and he had a very consistent mid range game as well. On top of all that, he was intelligent enough (pay attention dwight howard) to get the ball to his open shooters on the wings.

The most memorable thing about Dream though was his mental edge. He knew he was better than you, he was more gifted than you, and he would tell it to your face.

He is only one of 3 people to ever have a quadruple double in a single game, something which may never happen again.

However, I am going to pose a question. Is Dream the best Big Man ever to play the game? I think he is the most skilled, which to me means that he is the best ever. I guarantee you that if he played with the orlando magic instead of dwight howard, he would have owned the lakers and spat in their food!!!

Man, i miss the good ole days.

I like the job so far, but I will wait to see what they do tonight and for next year as to whether I say thanks, or whether I get my pitch fork and shovel !!

Thank you for giving me a reason to watch Rockets basketball instead of having my wife watch America's Next Top Model or crap like that.

I really do appreciate what Morey has done the past 2 offseasons. but i'm afraid that he may have gotten a big head and thinks he is the mad scientist. he thinks he's so cool. gonna just wait it out and get the "BIG DEAL" leter on. Then he will be sitting there with nothing but his you know what in his hand watching T-Mac take a shower. what a sick little elf.
