Thabo was playing very well after finally getting healthy. Hopefully Luc’s shoulders have enough duct tape on them to play. Unfortunately- I’m betting his three point shot will be dead.

Evidently they changed eligibility rules as noted in the excerpt below...
Crawford originally appeared ineligible, as he was not on an NBA roster this season, but when the eligibility rules expanded to include last season, his eligibility was confirmed. Crawford scored 51 points in his last NBA game. There is little question that he can still score, but what else he can do on an NBA court is less clear. The Lakers gave J.R. Smith a shot, though, and Crawford appeared to have a bit more left in the tank at last blush, so a team looking for scoring should give Crawford a long look.

opens up more possibilities as noted in the full article...

Extremely underappreciated on here. As he showed in the Lakers game, still an exquisite defender. Fairly disappointed in MD forcing House, Green, etc down our throats.

Still not too late, Clemons is not going to contribute much in this system.

And "small" ball is misnomer, think "skill" ball.

Definitely not happy about this, however:
    - best decision for Thabo and his family.
    - MDA wouldn't have played him anyway, so no reason to risk anything.
    - it allowed us to sign Luc, both will be championships if we win and they both deserve it.

Everyone is saying the right things. "We wont hold anything against players who opt not to play", and so on. But, you know, I think its B.S. It will come down one of two ways, IMO.

    1) After a brief restart, the entire thing comes crashing down amid players, and the country in general, due to continued and increasing outbreaks.

In this case, the guys who opted out may be viewed as those with foresight or just plain smarter than the rest.

    2) The game schedule plays out in full and an asterisk title is presented to some team. Even in this scenario, a few teams will suffer more than others given certain player testing positive will hurt their teams more than others. The players that opted out, especially those from teams hit harder than the others, will be counted and numbered. Meaning, other players, teams, owners and fans alike will remember. I wouldn't expect too much blatant accusing or calling out, but the players that played through it all will view those that did not differently. Human nature.

It's a novelty spectacle that may just have to be cancelled. There's just too many asterisks that winning anything is not meaningful. Watching fun remix scrimmages is what it all equates to...

Not surprising they kept it under wraps, they let you know when they let you know.

It is actually sad that MDA has to pretend he isn't a little worried.

Not Westbrook though. He will get tested during a timeout in the 4th quarter of the western conference finals against the clippers. Unfortunately will miss game 7. Better luck next year.

It's more sad that you pretend to know how he feels.

To expand on that, it's weird (IMO) to have these very personal situations used to advance an agenda. Here's one recent example from a former sports media member on Twitter:

IMO, Jeff should probably check with Freddie or his wife to see how they feel about a 2020 season before using them for that purpose. (Freeman, by the way, contracted the virus prior to engaging in any MLB activities.)

Interestingly enough, Jeff hasn't said a word about the NWSL, which has been back and playing at a centralized U.S. location for more than a week. From a safety perspective, the risks are quite similar. The difference, of course, is that NWSL isn't as popular as the NBA or MLB, so it doesn't draw the same attention to his cause.

It's perfectly fine to have that opinion, I just think we should keep individuals out of it unless they decide to speak out.

The Rockets generally keep their “injury cards” close. I’ve seen a few of the Rockets players out and about on social media so I have some suspects. But I can respect a player not wanting to publicly disclose their status.

lelz, it's s not what happened this time.

A teammate who won't travel with the team disclosed their status, not the PR department.

They should just warn the coaching staff.

What I know, how did this dude still get the virus not leaving his house? I guess it was likely his family members that came to visit?
