Basically just means in order for us to sign Marc Gasol to a contract, we'd need to amnesty Thabeet. As far as I know, we haven't offered him the contract yet/it has been accepted.

yup....he even said it hes not to be ask score 10 points but Block shots, and Defense......i have a good feeling he would be good esp a back up....dude is 7'3 i know people doubt him and he know that he probaly been working on his game well he said it himself....tired people doubting..if we played and he had a full game i guranteee you he would have at least 5 blocks...and rebounds..
From the videos clutch posted looks like he was actually enthusiastic in coaching him up, but I could be wrong.

Well of course he might be, he has a big contract, but Flynn also might be, as could Twill....or Scola or Martin..... I think the Rox will hold on to their amnesty for a couple of years in case they face a Tmac or Yao injury situation. DD
Chances of working out a sign-and-trade for M.Gasol: 1%? Chances of Nene picking a Pau-less Houston: 30%? Barring either of these events actually happening, there is no reason to amnesty waiving Thabeet . . . yet.
