That is because his story is crap. I doubt Morey would be talking to Thabeet. There's this little thing called "tampering."
Well I'm not impressed with Thabeet or any raw seven footer who supposedly can be a defensive force but in reality has no basketball foundamentals to speak of (Can you say Desagana Diop). I certainly hope that we are not seriously thinking about trading something valuable to bring him in to be a "big part" of the Rockets' future.
Thabeet was there. My friend definitely saw him at the aquarium, its not every day you see somebody 7 foot 3 over there. He didn't mention seeing morey or any rockets management (although I don't know if he is a big enough fan to recognize them.)
Thabeet already admitted he was there... what we need is proof that he was there with a 6'5" chubby geek.

Regardless, I don't know why we would be interested in trading assets for a long shot like Thabeet. Unless Yao is done, but all publicly known indications favor Yao making a comeback in 2010-2011.
If true, then very interesting news. I know he would be just a rookie, but I think he can really become a defensive talent for us. He has great height, and great shot blocking ability. Don't know what we would have to give up to get him, but hope that it wouldn't be too much. Wouldn't mind getting him, the thought kind of excites me. When will the offseason end? Can't wait for season to start up.
