Are you from West Virgina? I grew up there but followed Texas teams starting about age 4 because my family had all Texans in it (then I moved to Texas only making me more of a fan). Besides, WV doesn't have any pro teams.
Ya, I think you're right about the random highway shots. Those were taken in the Irving/Las Colinas area about five miles away from TX Stadium I think.
Nope. Born in Houston, lived in Houston my whole life (well Missouri City to be specific). She is from Hunnington and moved to Missouri City, which is how we met. She later returned to WV. I don't know why, but somehow when she first got here, we all started this joke about West Virginians liking goats. She said she's seen more goats in 2 years in Texas than most of her life in WV. Still funny. Guess you had to be there. Oh well. Still sucks that Friday's doesn't have flair anymore. And does anybody know if Chotsky's (sp?) really exists? Because the other restaurants they name in the movie are real ones. Just asking.
To manage to escape WV and then have to go back is brutal She must have visited Aggieland. In WV it is worse, it is kin
Steve: Hi, my name is Steve. I come from a rough area. I used to be addicted to crack but now I am off it and trying to stay clean. That is why I am selling magazine subscriptions Samir: No one is this country can ever pronounce my name right. It's not that hard: Nayee-Nanajar. Nayeenanajar. Michael Bolton: Yeah, well, at least you're name isn't Michael Bolton. Samir: You know, there's nothing wrong with that name. Michael Bolton: There WAS nothing wrong with it. Until I was about 12 years old, and that no-talent-ass-clown because famous and started winning Grammys. Samir: Why don't you just go by Mike, instead of Michael? Michael Bolton: No way! Why should I change it? He's the one who sucks. Tom Smykowski: It's a "Jump to Conclusions Mat"! You see, you have this mat, with different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO! Michael Bolton: That is the worst idea I've ever heard! Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea!
West Virginia is a beautiful state. Green trees all over the mountains. I've visited twice and done the drive from Baltimore to Charleston, where my brother used to work. That was probably the most scenic drive ever (never been down PCH). Once you look past all the mullets and the 'necks at the Super Wal-Mart, you'll realize that this poor little state is alot nicer than the rolling plains of the Gulf Coast and the prairies of DFW. BTW, my Ranger 4x4 was fully utilized there, but I hardly ever use its off-road capability here.
Yeah I am being a little tongue and cheek. It was a great place to grow up, my back yard was a beautiful forested area with waterfals and great overlooks within hiking distance. However if you want cultural things (arts, music, food), well, it may not always suffice. Here is a joke I heard from one of them civilized Ohians some time ago. What do you call a virgin maiden in West Virgina?? A girl that can outrun her brothers.
