texting is for tools but in for the right situations its great. "hey, i will be in town on saturday" or "beers tonight at gingermans at 8", etc. NOT "hi" "whats up" etc
Unlimited text plans are cheap. And they allow you to answer them at YOUR convenience. ALso if you are in a loud or very quiet environment, emailing/texting works great. I don't like calls unless something is urgent.
i get notifications of new emails sent to my phone. I also don't like talking to certain people on the phone which is good, those people like to txt so that works out great for me. I also have one of the original sprint plans that let me pick unlimited text messaging as an add-on so I'm not paying by the message or the $20 a month.
I find it very useful trying to hook up with friends at things such as sporting events. "Sec 120 row 8 st 12" for example. It eliminates the noise. I have used it similarly at concerts.
This is the exact reason why I text instead of babbling on my phone. I don't want to be this douchebag.
I get 1000 text messages a month with Tmobile for $10/month. They also have unlimited for $15, but I usually average about 600-700 per month so there is no need for unlimited. When communicating with friends I text instead of talk on the phone 90% of the time.
I believe you can contact your cell phone provider and have them set something that prevents texts from coming to your phone so you won't be charged.
cant believe no one has posted this... <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_nhQ7F8ckYI&rel=1&border=0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_nhQ7F8ckYI&rel=1&border=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> texting rules, talking is inefficient...
Its fun to text dirty nothings to hot drunk girls late at night, and its even better when they actually come over
Some people may choose not to text and that's fine, but if they don't understand the convenience of it, they just aren't very bright.
i use texting when trying to tell something quick, plus a lot of times my friends cant pick up their phone at work or listen to a voicemail so a text is an easy way to get a message across without them having be conspicuous of 'talking on the phone' i get the iphone plan of 1500 msgs and unlimited data since i was already an existing cingular customer. before i got like 200 free and then .15 per i think the most i've ever done when one that plan was like 350... i text a whole lot more now but thats because i have 1500 to use.
It's so hard to read texts sometimes and interpret them properly. I love some emojis or an lol or something in my texts.
