Mack is much better than fran, fran sucks. I was simply pointing out to you idiots that you hated your coach too and that things can change. I am not saying they will
I see what you're saying. However I don't think Fran has what it takes to change. I want A&M to become a prominent program because it does nothing but help UT by giving the conference more clout and by having another consistently marquee matchup on the calendar every year. I just don't think you guys are going to get there 'til you get rid of Fran.
I personally think they never should have got rid of RC. Sherill and RC lead a run against Texas that will probably never be repeated so long as the Texas AD isn't a complete moron and keeps from hiring his old buddies. Now that Texas AD has been open to outside hires, in the big sports there just should never be regular in state competition as we now see with football, basketball and baseball. Too many natural advantages at UT. I think it is too soon to can Fran.
Speaking of RC, I got to hang out with him and have a little conversation about a week and a half ago where I work. There was a party at Pat O'briens for a bunch of NFL people for the Shrine game. He was there early and we were the only ones at the bar. I wasn't sure enough that it was him to talk about A&M or even if that would be appropriate. We were talking a little bit about the Rose Bowl and he mentioned that he had just talked to Greg Davis earlier and that he had won the award for best coordinator. He talked about how he was proud and that he was the one that got him coaching on the college level years ago. We talked a little more about the party and who all was there and then he went on and I had to go to work. It was pretty cool to have a down-to-Earth conversation like that. I wanted to ask him about what he thought would happen with Vince in the draft, but that would have been pushing the conversation too much. He did hang out and listen to me play the piano for a few songs before they had dinner. Later that night, I had two guys that were former NFL players from the 70's come in and one of them came up and played the piano and sang. He was up for like 30 minutes. Real nice guy, but I wish that had paid attention to what his name was so that I could look him up. I just remember it was something-Junior. Anyway, it was a pretty cool night.
