Smokey pretty much put it in perspective. Harris was a lock for UT for awhile, then OU kicked our butts and won the MNC, and it was neck and neck until OU pulled away. But, what I had heard, was that Harris was ready to sign with Texas on signing day, but his uncle, Stockar McDougle came over with a bunch of OU hats and t-shirts. His dad liked OU better. Stockar had helped Tommie pay his way into camp and into the weight training program alot of athletes used in Houston.

Tommie allegedly didn't like one of the coaches at OU and wanted out, presumably to UT. Stoops wouldn't have it, and Tommie would have had to sit out a couple of years.

    end of story.

I can't believe Snyder let one of his players transfer to Texas.

Stoops will never let one of his players transfer to Texas especially one as good as Harris.

When both Chris Robertson and Kenny Hayter opted to transfer, Mack Brown released them from their scholarships and put no restrictions on their transfer.

Then you have Mike Leach who told his RB (forgot the name) to get the hell out of Texas and Oklahoma. The guy ended up at Alabama where he was recruited by Franchione at TCU.

I don't feel sorry for Harris at all. Like Kellen Winslow Jr., Harris could have stood up to his dad and uncle. But instead he let them decide where to play. You can't even compare Austin and Norman...yes, I agree with Harris, Norman is a better study environment.

I remember reading an article posted at Hornfans that had Harris saying "I wake up every morning and wonder what I'm doing at Oklahoma"...hahaha

Kidding aside, Stoops is a damn good coach. Harris plays for a damn good team. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Smokey, better study environment? LOL, who cares? A UT degree is worth a million times more than a degree from Landthief U. :D Besides, he better hope they don't return to the uzi days of the 80's. It'll bee hard to study there.

Bismark, College Station, and Juno would be better study environments too. I guess it depends what you want to learn about ;)

Well,...it's game day!!!! woohoo! I'm getting all jittery inside.

I guess its 7AM over there in the states. It's 9PM here in Korea. I'll be staying up all night so I can catch the game on cable (4:30AM) my time. Will need a lot of coffee. I wish I had graduated a semester late ( UT class of 2001)...then I could be at the darn game!

I'm so psyched about this game... GO HORns!!!!!!

BTW, even crazy WACO is a better study environment than OU...all they do on weekends is go hang out at the super wal-mart. :D

    Smokey, that's a Blow-u co-ed, not a dude.

3oclock, you're in Korea? Are you in the military? If so, God bless you. About graduating late, the UT/ou game is one reason why I'm on the 8 year plan. :D

Good thinkin about stayin in school...I'm actually joinin up the korean army (cuz of my citizenship status) I've spent most of my life in the states though (long story)..I'll be fighting along side of our US buddies...I've signed up to be a translator for the US army. Hopefully I'll be able to...

I miss UT so much...stay as long as u can....! 4 years was simply not enough for me...

I'm hungry right now, and I could really go for some freebirds!

    God, Chris Simms suck!

F***ing lucky OU! I hope they stay unbeaten and they play Miami, a real Florida football power, in the Rose Bowl so that they could get their asses handed to them which should have happened last year!

    **** Mack Brown!

Watch him cry again after the game.

Forget national championship, we are not even going to win the Big XII or the Big XII South.

Be fair guys. Look at Chris Simms this game and compare it to Heisman Trophy Winner Chris Weinke in the national championship game. OU's defense is damn good, and they forced some mistakes. I still wouldn't trade Chris Simms for any other QB in the country. However, you have to wonder what would've happened if not for ****ing Nathan Vasher. I would kick the guy off the team for that... no room for players with an IQ of 2.

That would be funny if OU wasn't a top 5 University in Rhodes scholars and #1 in the nation in National Scholars. That would be funny if ESPN gameday hadn't come and gotten pissed off because we were all more concerned with attending classes than going to their stupid little "tailgate Bash" and "Gameday Raves" before the K-State game. (Quote from a Gameday crewman, "This would've gone a lot better if we'd given out bookmarks instead of bottle cap openers.")

I know that the comment by 3oClockrocket was made in jest, but I'm just getting tired of these dumbass stereotypes about OU. At least the Gameday crew won't make that mistake again.
