Rice will play powerhouse Troy champion of the Sun Belt in the prestigious RL Carriers New Orleans Bowl. I expect the largest crowd of the year for both teams...15,500.

we can't help it that we're the 2nd best Big 12 team and are going to the 4th Big 12 bowl or that y'all are the 4th best Big 12 team and going to the 3rd Big 12 bowl. the selection process is convoluted. they know after a few BCS games that we'll be a little down and might not travel so well and they know the aggies are so thrilled with their season that they would go to antarctica so actually see their team in a bowl again. just how it works.

Nobody cares about A&M troll. Everyone knows perfectly well that Desean Jackson is gonna run circles around your wrectum crew.

That is unless you sneak in a dirty late hit....

Good luck in San Diego. Represent well. Oh, and those things with yellow hair and protruding chests... They're called hot chicks. It's ok to shag them. ;)

I don't know what's worse, the Bowl or being in San Antonio.

Might just go so I can get toasty and pee in the River Walk.

    I hate San Antonio.

no it translates to both fanbases being human and thus the selection to better bowls for inferior teams. considering y'all's recent track record when it comes to filling up kyle, i don't know if fan support smack is the way to go.

I like how Aggie fans now think they've won the MNC because they beat us once.

Now I know what Texans fans sounded like to Cowboy fans with the endless "19-10" responses.

Seriously IC2000. No need to talk smack. We were not even bowl eligible last year and they won the MNC. Every program and every team has down years. For Texas, this happens to be their's.

In all seriousness, there's no reason for Texas to hang their head in shame or anything. You could legitimately argue a whole bunch of bowl scenarios. It's all messed up. Ultimately, you can justify it the way it is (OU, NU, A&M, UT, in that order). You can also justify it a slew of other ways too.

The Holiday Bowl is a nice step up for us (what isn't after last year?). We'll take it happily and we hope to represent the Big XII well.

I'm sorry. You guys are not the Dallas Cowboys and we're not exactly the Houston Texans.

True, the Longhorns have been a lot more successful than the Cowboys in recent years.

I'm very proud of Rice this year. Nice way to honor the memory of Dale Lloyd.

Ha! The Cowboys are America's Team. They are THE team associated with football success. As much as I hate them, I have to give them that. The Texas Longhorns are not that.

Yes, the Longhorns have been more successful than the Cowboys in recent years. Historically, the Cowboys blow the Longhorns out of the water.
