Someone tell ABC to schedule Bob Stoops and Tommy Tuberville for pregame/halftime/postgame or NOT AT ALL!!! good god what the hell was up with these extended interviews? The Stoops one happened during a key drive when Texas got momentum and utlimately scored. pure bull****.
EIGHT sacks today on a mobile QB. wow. Greg Robinson is a pretty good coach it seems. And that'll do it. Game over. Off to sunny Dallas for a ten am game on Fox. Whoop-te-frickin' do.
Something seems different about Mack Brown this year. He looks like he has a different outlook on this team. I know he has always had faith in them but this year it seems as if hes really having fun and that he has a different mentality. I feel opimistic about the Longhorns even with Vince as qb. I cringe every time he drops back in the pocket.
Mcneal looked terrible out there today. Those 3 sacks in a row to finish up the game were terrible. Credit to the TU defense. Strange game, bad calls by the refs hurt both sides. And all the missed kicks/field goals was strange.
What bad calls were there other than the horrible roughing the kicker call when the punter basically tripped over the UT/eATMe pile?
If you told me 10 years ago UT would win 5 in a row vs. A&M, I'd call you crazy. All they had was football and now they don't even have that. Poor Ags. If Major was healthy, it would have been 6.
Well living in San Diego, this is probably the least pissed I'll ever be about the Aggies losing to Texas, but it still sucks. This game was won on the OL/DL of Texas ... Great play on both sides of the ball.
The second half today was the best of our D-line all year. And it's going to be even better next year, unless Wright goes pro early. Everyone will return, and Mike Williams will supposedly be eligible again. Now, we just need Southern Miss to win by one. Though truth be told, I'd rather Boise St. make the BCS than Cal. They'd get slaughtered by 50 by whatever team they faced. And that would help turn the sympathy tide against the mid-majors.
greed ( P ) Pronunciation Key (gred) n. An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth: “Many... attach to competition the stigma of selfish greed” (Henry Fawcett).
ig·no·rance n. The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed. "You... would have to be ignorant to think that UT fans rooting in their own interest were greedy" (Me)
I don't understand the hate for the non BCS schools. They don't have the same schedule, talent, resources, fan base, etc., but last time I checked they all play Division I football. If the BCS schools want to break away, that's fine. But until that happens including not playing non BCS schools in OOC like North Texas and Rice, they should get thrown a bone. It sucks Cal and/or Texas will get screwed but they know what they got to do to be guaranteed a spot in the BCS.
jack·ass ( P ) Pronunciation Key (jak'as) n. A male ass or donkey. A foolish or stupid person; a blockhead: “You've acted like an irrational jackass and it's time you stopped” (Margaret Truman).
How original. Do you like posting here? Please spare me the notion that you think the smiley makes it all clevar and QYUTE!
There's a large number of schools who did just fine before the BCS came into town.. then BCS exclusion caused their programs to start dying.
