A&M held Sproules, Morency, and Peterson below their average in rushing per game. These are some of the best running backs in college football. All TU has is the run because Mack Brown is an idiot. Franchione is the superior coach. McNeil was a heisman contender at one point. Young should be playing reciever... TU- 27 ATM- 31
You sure sound like you have more animosity towards A&M than most Aggies have towards Texas. One mention of Reggie McNeal as a heisman candidate a while back (which he soon made the heisman watch lists I might add) and you said something like, "If ever a post needed a roll-eyes, its here" I think A&M is YOUR personal biggest rival while the schools biggest rival is definitely OU. I know its tough for you to admit, but its ok. Pretty soon Texas will be the number 4 team in the Big 12 South behind OU, A&M, and OSU Maybe you can have 3 rivals then.
You don't have a clue about what I think or feel. And you are wrong. The animosity in that post was directed at a Rice alumnus with a long history of ignorant posts about The University, not your school. And my lack of tolerance for stupidity is not limited to stupidity eminating from Aggies.
Ignorant and "not what you want to hear" are not the same thing. Back to the game discussion: I'm really looking forward to this one. I still believe Texas will win, but I feel it will be close. A&M will not come into this game psyched out. UT is only the 3rd best team they've played this year, and Coach Fran impressed me with the way the Ags played at OSU and against OU and Tech. Should be a good one.
Enjoy the game everybody. The last game in Austin, I went to go visit some friends and had a great time (other then the endless ribbing from all the Longhorns around me for wearing my A&M gear). I hope the game is high scoring and fun, a great way to end the regular season for both teams. I have been a terrible Aggie this year not going to any games (my life has been crazy hectic), but I wish my boys good luck and congrats on their successes and growth since the times that I was really into A&M school stuff. TT, TMurph, DD, Jami, David, Mo...Gig'em guys, and get a win so that I can email all my UT buddies and give 'em some payback for the first time in years. P.S. Does anyone else find "The Eyes of Texas" song a little creepy? I remember learning that song ever since freshmen hs when I went to speech and debate camps at UT, and it has always creeped me out a little..."the eyes of Texas are upon you, you cannot get away". Anyhow, I guess it's still better than our own fight song being so fixated on Texas University. I prefer "The Spirit of Aggieland" so much more. The UT and A&M fight songs both suck ass. Everyone knows that Rice has the best fight song in the history of the universe: LOUIE LOUIE
Fun game so far. Looking forward to the 2nd half, but I gotta get over to Best Buy to get my CD player installed etc.
