The victim's twin brother says his brother first pushed Anthony https://6abc.com/post/karmelo-antho...ld-police-he-was-protecting-himself/16128173/ His twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, was also at the meet and spoke to officers at the scene. He said that after his brother told Anthony he had to leave the tent because he didn't go to Memorial, the two "went back and forth and then Austin stood up and pushed the male to get him out of the tent," according to the arrest report. Edit: I apologize for repeating some things that were already posted.
@El_Conquistador In regards to The Texas Relays, that's a big party event for black college students and fights are going to happen just like they happen at white college parties Edit: white college parties or Jeep Weekend for instance
So given that even the victim's brother says he started the physical altercation how is Anthony being charged with first degree murder? Maybe one of our lawyers can help
Our lawyers in here are insane dumbasses with serious TDS. I would not ask them for their opinions. Any good lawyer worth his salt would not have any free time to post garbage and flinging poo in the D&D. Lol
Maybe people feel as I do that Anthony is being made an example of with a 1 million dollar bail amount and being charged with first degree murder. I'm sure most people who donated feel sympathy for the victim. As this thread proves this case is racially charged and people just want Anthony treated fairly.
I don't think anything has ever happened at the Texas Relays. @El_Conquistador is just being his usual racist self. He knows it's a bunch of young black people so he assumes there must have been some egregious violence at some point. Just curious, what was your vertical in high school, I just wonder if high jumping translates to being able to dunk. It seems it obviously does but I don't know
I was a 6 foot 11 jumper in 85 at Clear Creek High. Could not palm a basketball but I could dunk a volleyball taking off from free throw line. I was 6 feet tall. Used to jump against Hart Lee Dykes almost every meet. He had a good NFL career
I remember Dykes, hard to forget much a unique name. He was from Bay City as I'm sure you remember. Seems like a few good athletes were from there
He was a 6-7 6-8 clearer at best. I came in at 6-4. He was done before I was fully warmed up. I got the gold then. He got the gold later in the NFL
This is what I hate about the left. They are more concerned about another country's civilian than the victims. We should deport all foreign criminals, regardless where the crime happened. Because far left activist judges just release them back on the street to commit crime again. No democrats care. Party over country.
Ever seen this video? NYC, not Austin, but you get the picture. Two female friends of mine made the mistake of going to a popular area in Austin during Texas Relays. They were groped and harassed repeatedly. It was lawless and completely unsafe for them.
I assume Metcalf was enforcing some weird bullshit tent culture at these track meets that I completely missed in high school, maybe the same gatekeeping would happen around a team's bench at a basketball or football game, but there are more coaches proportionally to reign it in and keep strays in their camps so the meatheads can stay focused. The politics of this are weird, but that "see what happens" bullshit from this Anthony kid is a little telling. I can honestly imagine him spotting out some younger, smaller, less aggressive kids in his own clique, then trying to goad them into some kind of fight and just unloading the same kind of anger he was clearly repressing or harboring here.
The President of the United States called those people Patriots, pardoned them and there has been discussions about providing them a compensation fund from the government. We cannot even agree on what is and isn't "okay" when it comes to violence - be that Jan5 or Luigi Magionni. There is a severe lack of empathy in the USA right now.
Not that this has any bearing on anything but it was in the stands. It was raining, it was a tent in the stands he was in the opposition's stands. That's why it turned hostile, Metcalf wanted the space under the tent from the rain for his school's people. Not sure if you knew that
