5 to 1 ratio when I was in school......as a bartender, it was FRICKEN amazing..... Best time of my life....by far !! DD
i dont know if this makes a difference but i got accepted into tech and the business school within a month after i sent my application and i didnt get into texas state's business school till the middle of april so does that mean texas state is better academically?........also i guess the real question is, is there a big discrepency between texas state's education compared to tech's b/c the lifestyle at texas state's seems to be a lot more enjoyable then at tech
You've never heard of about Tech women? Are you joking? All throughout HS, the talk was Tech was rated #2 by playboy for women. I came here... and they didn't lie. Of course.. I'd say atleast 75% of them are blonde. I read an article last year that basically summed it up: "Tech is full of rich girls who would rather go lay out by the pool and spend their daddy's money than go to class." At least visit the two schools before making a decision.
I always thought Texas State was a horrible school for education. Tech has a better reputation doesn't it?
Texas State recently made the Princeton Review's list of America's best Value Colleges along with UT, A&M, UH, and Rice. Tech wasn't on the list. They are also just finishing up the new Business building here at Texas State. http://www.business.txstate.edu/building/
I agree that Tech women are beautiful, but the #2 by Playboy thing is garbage. Everyone I know in every state has a school nearby that they say is ranked #2 by Playboy for women.
Ditto on everything he said. Tech is a lot of fun and it's a very good school academically speaking, has good sports tradition, has the best college campus I've ever come across, and is a great college experience. The only downside is that Lubbock is far away from every major town in Texas (about 9 hours away from Houston, but only an hour flight).
The only thing I am interested to know is who's #1? I am not sure how you can top Tech. Seriously, short of only admitting models from all across America, it would be difficult to top Tech.
Most importantly, if you live there, you can say you lived in the same dorm that I did way back when in 1989 when I was a Freshman. Hopefully the apartments I lived in after I left the dorm have either been torn down or massively renovated because they were quite crappy 15 years ago. I can't imagine how bad they'd be now. I didn't like being at Tech, but I think a good bit of that was it being too close to "home" (I grew up in Amarillo and always disliked it there) and too similar. Also, I had wanted to go to Texas (but I wasn't accepted) or SMU (but my step-mother talked my Dad out of letting me go), so I was already against Tech, it being my distant third choice and all. But the school itself was fine, and I'm sure the town is better than when I was there.
