I thought TT was suppose to kick our butts last season in Lubbock. We beat ya'll by 30, now we're at home w/ a better offense and much much better defense.
I can't wait until Saturday. I hope to make the trip down to Austin to catch the game... It should be a good one. Yes, last year was a blow out. But Since I've been to school here Tech has beat Texas once, lost a heartbreaking game in Austin than had an embarassing peformance last season in LBK. So UT is not playing some scrub team... This is the best Tech team in years and everybody is saying this is the best Texas team in years. So I'm thinking it should be a good game. But we shall see. It's either going to be a UT romp or a close game that could either way. UT is too good to get blown out at home when they have this much to play for....
FFB, while I appreciate your enthusiasm for Texas Tech, there is no need to be arrogant and gloat. Why don't you just let the game play itself out and leave the trash talking out of it? I am hoping for a great game!

Look, Tech has a nice little team, but for God's sake, who in the world have they played? The Sisters of the Poor? Plano East High School? Leach (I think that is the coach's name) has a schedule that Bill Snyder of Kansas State would be proud of. If Tech scores more than 20 points against Texas, it will be a miracle. If Texas doesn't score more than 49 points against Texas Tech, it will be a miracle. Tell you what, "Nomad Jim", would you be willing to do a sig bet since you are so confident that your Red Raiders are going to win this game? No point spread, just win or lose. I'll take Texas, you have Tech. Horns win, I get to pick your new sig and you have to use it for a month. Red Raiders wins, you pick my new sig and I'll have to use it for a month. Let's see how serious you are about your team.

Texas will do whatever they want on offense. They'll probably run the ball right down Tech's throats the whole game and control the clock keeping Tech's offense off the field. I predict 30 or more first downs for Texas. This game would be a lot more interesting if it were in Lubbock. No one is going to stop Texas this year except possibly the BCS. Texas Tech is Jekyll and Hyde against Texas. At Lubbock, Tech is actually quite competitive. In Austin, Texas completely kicks their arse. Considering this is probably the best Texas team in 30 years, Tech will get wiped out.
Another neutral observer here. I'm really looking forward to this game. Tech has looked good, but they just haven't faced anybody even close to UT's caliber. I think if any defense can slow down Tech, it's this one. Texas: 48 Tech: 31
Last time TTech came to play in Austin, Texas won 43-40 on a late drive orchestrated by Chance Mock. That being said I expect Tech to come to play and bring everything they have to try and beat the 'Horns. But, Mack won't let there be a letdown game this season, and everyone here in Austin knows that this is a huge game. The crowd will be going bananas and lead the Horns to another impressive victory. 45-28 Texas.
Tech has always been known for their balls-to-the-walls offense, but somehow it's never enough when they come to play Texas... I keep telling my mom, dad, and uncle that they should just give up and admit that as much of a fight they'll put up, Texas will still come out on top.
