Look at it this way. The Big XII has laid a lot of eggs this year. OU dropping the opener to BYU, Colorado getting whipped by CSU and Toledo, K-State losing to UL-Lafayette, and Nebraska losing to Va Tech this past weekend. The only legitimate non-conference win it's had this year is Ok State's win over UGA. Time for the Big XII to step it up, and Tech has the chance to do that this weekend.
Based on what I've seen from each team this season, It wouldn't be a stretch for me to conclude that UH could hang with UT. The #2 team in the nation has not impressed me much so far, especially when Cold overthrows his receivers 50% of the time.
Unfortunately, I'll be stuck in College Station to finish some papers this weekend I've been repping the UH gear around campus, though!
Why the hell is this game starting so late?!? I just had to cancel going to a girl's birthday because of this.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/college/houston/6634115.html The University of Houston has changed some of student-entry policies for Saturday night’s football game against Texas Tech. UH employees will swipe Cougar Card identification and distribute wristbands to the first 5,500 students starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, the athletic department announced on Wednesday. The wristbands and Cougar Card ID will be required for entry into Robertson Stadium for the sold-out game between 6:15 p.m and 7:45 p.m. Students who do not enter Robertson Stadium by 7:45 — 36 minutes before the scheduled kickoff — will not be guaranteed admission. UH athletic director Mack Rhoades said he doesn’t want students camping out at Robertson Stadium on Friday night. “Although there are some small changes in the procedures, most of the student-entry plan remains intact,” Rhoades said. “We wanted to keep the entry procedures that the students know but also allow them to enjoy the full game-day atmosphere at Robertson Stadium.”
