Wow are you serious? Tech hung in the game with UT LAST WEEK..they only lost by 10 points...what are you talking about? Our team could have played better which goes to show that this team is the real deal this year. Dont come in here trolling and throwing out things like that. You just need some attention? Bitter?

I think so too but Patterson has stuck around at TCU as has Peterson at Boise. I guess if you can make similar money and could do no wrong at your job than he will stay like those guys...

But if he wants to ever for something meanigful on a yearly basis and take a chance hes gone.....This isnt NCAA dynasty mode you cant build a national title contender in a non BCS...

    It's a little bandwagon-ish, but it's human nature. I'm still happy for them :D

PointForward needs to realize that in college football, offense > defense. Good defense doesn't mean they can shut them out, but they can make the key stops when they count. Defense still wins games, but gone are the days of 6-3 wins and welcome to the era of 33-30 wins.

I think it's because their last names are similar. We need to find a coach named Pederson. He'll stick around.

2 things I learned from reading this post:
    1. You're probably not much fun to be around
    2. You're a troll

that's what I heard also, didn't remember that part.

I do remember how Baylor got in initially with Ann Richards being an alum, and the topic reviving since she died.

Really? Baylor scored 68 pts through 3 quarters tonight. Houston scored 55 on the same team this season.

Anyways, last I checked Baylor has a better basketball program. Mens beat Kansas & UT last year just to name a couple of wins. Got to the Big 12 championship game and ended season by losing in NIT championship but it still was a decent season. Womens team won a title not too long ago and they got the best player in the country coming. This girl is a beast and is from Houston ironically.

We're also better at track & field. The name Jeremy Warner ring a bell? Baylor athletes ran the third and final leg for the US in the 4 x 4 gold medal relay team in 2004.

And for what it's worth, our mens tennis team also won a national championship not too long ago..

Our facilities are not too shabby either. UH has a long ways to go before they can catch Baylor's overall athletic program.

Btw, great win U of H!

did you watch that game? UT was playing awful, they didn't take tech seriously and let them hang around..

and lol guys take it easy on me I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I was really cheering hard for UH out of sheer hate to Texas tech :D and the fact that I'm a houstonian, but the level of play in this game was ridiculous: dropped passes, awful tackling, awful DEFENSE (you can probably tell that defense is the thing I appreciate the most in football). I'm happy for UH that was an awesome well-deserved win, but fans are homerish by nature and they start calling for outlandish crap, did you see the "keenum 4 Heisman" sign?

congrats to all of you, awesome awesome day for Houston football, and Hakeem in the stands makes everything better!

A BIT more deserving? Look at the last decade of football......TCU has had some pretty good seasons, including a nice record against the Big12 in the last few years.

TCU has had quite a bit of success in the Patterson era. UH does need to get out of the CUSA though if they can continue to play well.

    --------------------------------------
UH is turning their program around, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they should suddenly get a ticket into the big 12. (I know that's not what you're saying....more towards some of the coog fans.)

To be fair though, only Baylor cares about their T&F, Tennis, and Women's Basketball.

Well then you are blind because there were two huge defensive stopsat the goal line for UH.
