Capsules and powders are cool, but nothing really beats eating the actual super foods fresh to me. Who knows how much you'd really be effectively absorbing (as the argument with any supplements), and who knows how much of the healing potency of the super foods holds up after being blended and consumed like 2 months or more after being harvested. I would personally use them as something to top me off, but not as a main source of any vitamins, minerals and probiotics etc. They won't hurt, probably will help a little, not so sure it will do a whole lot though (as compared to eating the actual ingredients fresh), IMO.
Yes, i know the real thing is better. I don't have any time right now in my life to do that though. Has anyone here tried this?
That stuff is WAY overpriced. It may be good, but there's no way that there isn't something comparable and at a reasonable price. Check out Amazing Grass Green Superfood. I found it at HEB and add it to my smoothies. The only other place that I've seen it is at Whole Foods.
