I heard something on the radio a couple weeks back that Stoops was thinking about going to the NFL. This would be a good year for him to go (assuming a NFL teams wants him), another down year or two could really hurt his stock, UT is getting stronger as well.
Gentlemen, I have traveled into the future and acquired a picture of Bob Stoops's press conference announcing his resignation this year.
thats messed up. but mack brown has still got to win a few more i think to get the taste out of his mouth after 5 years of losing in a row. but now i think he is 3-5 against the sooners and 2-5 against stoops. but i dont think a few more will be a problem. they really have some rebuilding to do. new qb and new running back will be tough to overcome at least next year.
He's being redshirted. Why waste a year on him when you have the best running back in the nation playing for you?
I'm pretty sure right now he's 4-5 vs. OU (victories in 98, 99, 05, 06) and 3-5 vs. Stoops. For all the talk of a guy who "can't beat OU" he's one win away from being .500.
Why not? Mack Brown stuck around for about five years in a row of losing to Oklahoma. If Coach Stoops leaves, who do you think would be his successor? I'm thinking Mike Leach is a definite possibility. I wouldn't mind seeing the ninja formation again. Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing Josh Heupel back at quarterback either.
really i had no idea. i thought brown won his first year against OU and then lost every game up until last year. ill have to check it out once im not on this crappy pc.
Does anyone has a high resolution picture of that crying kid? I would like to have it and print it on a t-shirt.
I kinda felt sorry for the kid. Now the Dukie kid fan a couple of years ago in the NCAAs I think (anybody remember that), that was funny. I actually thought the ball move slightly forward, maybe 4-6 inches past where it was thrown. It was a pretty close call though. It was nothing like the Oregon game. Heck the Sooners recovered the kick Oregon illegally touched at 9.5 yards and they still gave the ball to Oregon, the weirdest thing I have ever seen. This play now hurts UT every bit as much as OU because it sways conference ranking and potential top 10 victories UT would have.
