The neighbor didn't want to share the cliff so he went out with a chisel every night and hammered away at the rock till the guy's house fell in. Diabolical.

    Dear Insurance Company,

My house just burned down. The fire also took out the cliff it was built on...need new one ASAP.

    Thanks!

The crack in the ground travels directly across the neighbors back yard and down the side of the cliff. Looks like the neighbor is about to lose a good 40-50 yards as well. If I'm the neighbor, I'd be looking to move soon.

Wow that is unfortunate. I bet they would have a lot of trouble selling their property now. Might just be best to ride it out and take your loss of land, as long as the crack doesnt move toward the house more.

I don't quite get it -- was the idea to spare the lake extra debris? That's why burning it is good?

Poor house. That's like somebody walking in and setting you on fire while you're sitting on the crapper. :(
