Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst calls Allen police to get relative out of jail

    Just to clarify, and I'm not supporting the lt. governor, but the story more or less indicates that she couldn't get bonded in the city jail, and that the politician got the police to transfer her to the county jail where a bondsman actually could get her bonded.

    Therefore, the recommendation that calling a bondsman first would have resulted in the outcome they were seeking doesn't appear to be accurate.

    Dewhurst? No, he's running again for Lt, against Patrick and rrrrr I think Patterson in the primaries. Haven't been paying attention to any polls on it yet, but the general feeling around the Capitol is that he won't win another election.
