    HPD says they do not allow escorting a suspect this way. Baytown PD likewise. Harris County sounds like they will revise their policies to not allow it. Chief Acevedo thinks PDs across the country will amend their policies ("if they're smart").

    I'm glad that the leading professionals in this important civil function see that this is not how they should conduct business and are amending policy where necessary. I'm glad the publicity around this event with GPD brought awareness.
