I can't remember for sure, but I think the Pflugerville Panthers were a 3rd or 4th team that made it last year and ended up losing in the state championship. I understand your point, but there are certainly years when 3 or 4 spots per district makes perfect sense, too.
Boy was I wrong. Nederland won 35-34. Their running back Wareall Grogan is a badass. He's 230, and he looked liked the fastest guy on the field.
Wow, Magnolia actually won. They're way more competitive in 4A. I just wish I could see some games...
Go Pearland! I'm actually not expecting too much from my school but hopefully it'll be entertaining. Pearland vs Clear Lake next week
Dont know how to play defense? 42-7 WOW! Your team gave up 501 yards. So much for stacking the box! 379 yards rushing. Katy ISD 2-1 vs that somewhat football district as I said. ! Cinco Ranch 50-14!. After all teasing aside I do hope you and all players on both sides made it out of the game safe. Good luck in college next year and believe me when I say that I am jealous of you going to have that much fun! Just like my sig says, it is Saturday night!
Hey guys, I'm from the Rio grande Valley. We are trying hard to close the gap and bring some respect to Rio Grande Valley Football. We really support our teams down here and there is a very active web forums based on valley sports that is going crazy with football (rgvsportsforum.com) Edcouch Elsa was cleared of any wrongdoing and dismantled Tuloso Midway 59-22. My alma mater Los Fresnos destroyed Edinburg North 70-21 last night.
My alma mater Cy Creek (8-1) beat Cedar Park and takes on Klein Oak (8-1) at the Berry Center on Saturday night. I might try to go to this game, as I've still never seen this Berry Center everyone is talking about. Odessa Permian (11-0) destroyed El Paso El Dorado 62-14. Next they take on Burleson (5-6). That's not going to end well for Burleson... Hmmm, can I re-think this one? ET struggled against a 5-5 FM Marcus team and Abilene lost in the first round....
Just wanted to note something here: Jefferson Davis High School, this year's puff-ball-to-Cinderella story, my alma matter, and the Houston Chronicle last week's GAME OF THE WEEK story, is on to the next round by beating Worthing on a fourth-quarter TD set up by a blocked punt close to Worthing's end zone. GO PANTHERS!
Any thoughts on great match ups this week? I would think the Klein Oak vs. Cy Creek or the Southlake Carroll vs Cedar Hill would be great match ups to see this weekend. Anyone think that FB Hightower have a real chance at North Shore?
Alright weslinder, here we go. My alma matter, Magnolia, plays yours, Nederland, Saturday at 1Pm at Moorehead stadium. Should be a good game. Wish I wasn't stuck following it from over a thousand miles away.
