My senior year at Elsik was Elsik's last year as a legit team. We made the state semis only to see our star TE Tony Hills injured in the first half. We lost the game and Judson went on to win the state title.

I say "we" but the only time I got on the field that year was during halftime as Drum Major.

That was a sick injury to Hills. His nerve damage was so serious that it's amazing he ever played a down of football again.

I actually went Kempner in Sugar Land, but I thought the whole high school football craze only revolved around high school students and people from cities like Odessa...

Did you have Google to see who Kempner was playing? Or did you already know? (Kempner c/o '03 here)

I was at the Katy vs Pflugerville championship game last Dec and Pflugerville out played Katy in the 1st half. I also agree if there is a year to play Katy it is this year. They are reloading for next year big time. I would not put it past Katy to make it deep in the playoffs, but no state championship game. Everyone sees a 3 lose team, but they only got out played by the Woodlands. They should have beat North Shore and I really dont know how good that Miami team they destroyed is, but they have play well the last 7 weeks.

I play for Stratford. Watching Katy on film, they really arent anything special. they cant throw at all due to their boneheaded quarterback, so all you have to do is put 8 in the box to stop their run attack. Plus our defense is better than Katy's.

If you call average holding opp's to 14 points or less 7 out of the last 8 weeks and allowing 3 teams to single digits average then your right. I wish you the best of luck and hope you and both teams make it out of the game with no injuries.

Oh and by the way, that "boneheaded QB" has only thrown for 36 less yards than all 3 of your QB's combined. :D

They play in a CRAPPY division. where the entire district doesn't know how to play defense. they are number 1 in defense in their district allowing other teams to average like 269 yards a game. we are number 3 in defense in our district allowing other teams to get only 233 yards a game. The 3rd best defense in our district is better than the first best defense in the katy district. We also scrimmaged against cinco ranch, and handled them mightily and didnt even consider them a challenge. Cinco just beat katy this saturday, causing katy to lose the division title for the first time since 1995. Katy is weak this year. and the comment about our quarterbacks is only true because our starting quarterback was hurt in the beginning of the season, and we only have 2 quarterbacks...dont know where you got 3

Also they have struggled mightily playing out of their district btw, which also shows that the bulk of their domination and wins came from their crappy foes in their division.

Do you guys still put out monsters for linemen? I swear I don't know what you people feed your kids out there, but back in the late 80's y'all could've started your front line in the NFL. Every year there was a pack of 280-300 lbs monsters out of Stratford.

Went to Second Baptist back when we were still playing SPX. Ah, it was fun beating them (j/k Drake). Unfortunately, the Chron(ic) apparently thinks no one plays football in private schools, so I can't find out who they're playing this week. They seem to be a pretty fun team this year, with a lot of passing (something that would have driven my coach there nuts, I think we averaged 4 passes a game).

Moorehead is in Conroe. Been there once or twice, can't remember where it is though. (I wanna say it's around Conroe/ Caney Creek area, but I'm not totally sure)

My alma matter (Magnolia) is back in the playoffs for the first time in 6 years, now that we dropped back to 4A.

I believe they play a school called Jack C Hays?

Lets see, a 4 point loss to #1 North Shore @ North Shore is struggling? I will admit as I did earlier that the Woodlands loss was bad, but they are 3-2 outside of district play. The Weston Cypress Bay game (31-6 and their only loss) can also show what they can do as well against a top 15 school in the state of Florida. Not to be too mean but I would not talk about out of district games until you take a hard look of who you had scheduled. Katy scheduled the best teams in the area and around the nation not a 0-8 MacArthur.

Listen we can argue this all night, but dont be suprised when your district is 1-2 vs the Katy district by the end of the weekend (Strake Jesuit should win against Madye Creek). And if your district wins I will be happy to congratulate you on 2 or 3 fine victories and wish you the best of luck.

BTW I got the QB info off the Chron website.
