Obama needs to hurry up then.

Common Sense... something that people who fantasize about becoming a rebel hero of an impending tyrannical government seem to lack. Lets apply some common sense here. Let us begin with motive. What is the point of creating a tyrannical government if you CANNOT BE THE HEAD OF THIS TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT? Obama's administration has less than three years. What then? I would be worried if there was some sort of massive movement for the administration to increase term limits or rid of them entirely, but in less then 3 years Obama will be as powerful as the George W. which means all he will be doing is creating libraries and remodeling clinics in Africa. I just do not see the motive behind creating a tyrannical government. It's not going to happen buddy.

I'm not responding to you. I'm pointing out that you're the same paranoid, ridiculous, completely full of nonsense poster that you've always been. Nothing new here. You're going to fight the tyranny of the F18 Hornet with your Glock just as the founders foresaw. Okay buddy.

The Federalist Papers where documents rationalizing a necessity of a stronger federal government over the Articles of Confederation during that period, something the modern libertarian(which I assume you are) would not appreciate. And the Constitution is 200+ years old and the founding fathers did take into consideration that time changes things thus they did give the ability to AMEND IT.

LOL, you assume WAAY too much. And for someone who is a political science major you are amazingly ignorant. I have a word for you.

    O-L-I-G-A-R-C-H-Y. Oligarchy. Look it up.

Motive? It's the same as it always was. Wealth and power. Hot-ass women to give you blowjobs while your wife is in the next room. The ability to tell men to do things that they don't otherwise want to do gives some people a stiffy.

Do you understand AT ALL how political parties operate? Do you understand AT ALL how the public and private sectors interact at that level? Have you ever heard of cronyism? How about the revolving door? Do you think that once a politician leaves office they are suddenly bereft of power and influence?

WTF are they teaching you kids in college nowadays, anyway? Your parents ought to get their money back.

Look treeman. I had been surrounded by your type for 4 years when I was a grunt in the Marine Corps. The military is full of ultra right wing nuts who despise Obama. This is another reason to never fear Obama tyranny. Even if his intentions were malicious he would never gain the support of the military to perform your fantasy dream scenario.

College is free bro. GI bill bro. You still are not applying common sense. How is Obama being a former president with not a significant amount of wealth(not at the level of the Koch brothers at least) going to influence policy to the level of tyranny post presidency? Sure he will support future democratic nominees, but I just don't see the level of power and influence a former president has like you see it.

Yeah, so AMEND IT then. Good luck with that. The 2nd Amendment is here to stay, so deal with it. They made it hard to amend for a reason.

Hamilton and Madison debated quite a bit, and a modern interpretation would be of a relative conservative vs a relative liberal, as one wanted greater state power and the other wanted more limits on state power. But both men would easily be considered conservatives if they could be magically transported here today (a modern day "liberal" is really just a more amenable term for progressive/socialist anyway). They would both be absolutely aghast at the power that the public has ceded to the government since their time.

And your characterization of the Federalist Papers is so completely off it's laughable. You really haven't read them, have you? They are NOT arguing for a strong central government - even Hamilton didn't go full bore down that road. The Articles were too weak, but they spent considerable time arguing about limitations on government scope.

How does a political science major get by without reading them? Really? Isn't it required?

Ask that question again and replace "Obama" with "Clinton".

You REALLY need to change your major.

The really funny part about the whole 2nd amendment tyranny thing is that these are the same guys that always support a stronger military even though we spend like three times more than Russia and China combined. Our military wipes the floor with our enemies in a conventional war but the 2nd amendment is going to protect us from the same military. Hysterical.

And what has Clinton done other than support Obama during his reelection. Can you play out a realistic scenario where Obama post Presidency has such a great influence that he knows he can acquire currently that gives him the desire/motive to create a tyrannical government?

LOL, you freaking moron, that is EXACTLY what I was trying to point out in my post to FB. The military would never support such a thing. Which is why it won't be done with military force.

So, you use that as an excuse to remove the 2nd Amendment? Nice.

My fantasy dream scenario, BTW, is that I get to live peacefully and free without fu**ing morons like you scheming to take away my rights and put my life in Dear Leader's benevolent grip. I've been to war, don't want to do it again. But the Founders put the 2nd there as a last resort, Break Glass in Case of Emergency.

The fact that you don't think that's important tells me you're either an idiot or you support it. Or both.

Uh, get his freaking wife, who has no other relevant qualifications, into a Senate seat in a state in which she doesn't reside? Put her into a position to make a run at the Presidency?

You really are dense for a polisci major. You are supposed to understand these things.

Do you REALLY think there is no possibility of tyranny in this country?

Amazing. Your professors should be fired.

This is why I think people like you are crazy. You perfom these mental gymnastics in your head where you think "People like me" are trying to take rights away from you. While in reality "people like me" don't really give a ****.

She has a name and a husband. She had zero business in the senate. She had zero business as SecState, and no executive competency as evidenced by the Benghazi debacle, the "reset button", and numerous other snafus. She has no business at all being in the WH. But where is she headed?

You think Bill has nothing to do with that? Do you not understand that they have their people populating every corner of the govt?

Again, you do not appear to understand how government works, and how the people at the top have their tentacles in everything.

Er, you are talking about taking away my right to keep and bear arms. That is not mental gymnastics. You are just fine with scrapping something that is 200 years old, because it doesn't reflect what you think is modern reality. Oh yeah, you want to amend it...

And you TOTALLY trust our government.

I suspect anyone who trusts our current government. You've got to be mentally ill to not be troubled by what is going on right now.

So, is our thread derail complete yet?

I find the acquisition of Aaron Brooks far more interesting than arguing with brain dead college students who don't even know their own subjects.

    Later.
