This is just so ****ing bad on so many levels. Members of the board talked about this more in terms of 'when' than 'if', so we sort of saw it coming, but damn.

I think at this point we've become immune to right wing extremism that were just numb to it at this point. It's depressing.

Ag classes for everyone! The upside is a week for fall break so the ag kids can participate in the county fair.

(I’m not against any of this, to be honest. The joke just fit.)

Which is actually the worst part of all.

Just saw that they're censoring text books to remove mentions of race pertaining to the Rosa Parks story. How do we step back from this ledge?

Abbot is a scumbag. Unfortunately the radical liberals keep people on the extreme right like him in power

HISD has its issues for sure but I don’t trust the GOP to fix it to anyone’s satisfaction except maybe the private companies that get the contracts to replace any and all services that can be replaced and any other business interests that somehow benefit. I’m sure billions will be spent to ‘revitalize’ everything while pay is cut elsewhere and the district ends up being a prettier but worse place for students when it’s all said and done.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out since H-town is a Democrat stronghold.

.The Repubs are for local government until they think it might increase their power. Some of their motivation maybe that they want to make money on charter schools. Also there are rumors that they may try to sell off some of HISD's real estate to the advantage of their backers.

Alternately it could be, that just like when they deprived a couple million Texans of Obama Care Medicaid expansion to deny Dems a victory. They could give a rat's ass about the thousands who will die or be in chronic suffering.
They love "Life !! " doncha know.

Why not change their name to the anti-democratic party. After all they are for a Republic not a Democracy?

It's funny how you don't even pretend to spew your libertarians garbage anymore in defense of radical policies. It was never about small government.

I said it was a joke bro. I’m 100% pro ag/farmer. Hell, I was friends and neighbors with the farmer kid who ended up being the local HS ag teacher.

There really need to be more vocational classes. I was reading the other day the average age of a master plumber is 58. Those guys make great money.
