yeah, although that's the unwritten rule of driving 40, go 45 50 , go 55. i mean usually i'll break the law and go like 2-3 over and not 5, but sometimes, i've just got a lead foot and have to go 5.
bullsh!t. There is no earthly way there was enough space on I-10 for you to get up to those speeds. Anyone who's been on i-10 knows its been in a constant traffic jam since the turn of the century. Not the 2000 turn of the century but the one before that 1899.
The proposal is to speed it up west of town, presumably past Hwy 6. I-10E inside the loop up to 45 is smooth sailing outside of rush hour. I regularly hit 90 there before I realize it--I think it's just compensation for having to do 45 all the way up to 610.
Pollution. Mileage would be a little better, but they don't care about that. They like seeing those dollars spent, and taxes paid.
Raven and Drummer I've never worn a speedo in my life. Cohen I always drive with my Radar and I've only had one ticket in my life (knocks on wood). I also only drive fast if the conditions are good. i never drive in an unsafe manner. I've also taken many drivers safety/education courses and numerous trackdays/racing schools so I know how my car handles in every condition at every speed. I thing driving schools are a must if you really want to know how to handle you vehicle properly.
This is true. I once tried to kill myself with a bullet between my fingers, and I couldn't. When that bullet is going FAST-AS-HEYELL, it kills. Clearly it is the speed that kills.
I think local governments have the power to do that... I can't remember how they go about putting it into effect, though because I think they have to get some type of state approval first.
