How the hell does voting Democratic have ANYTHING at all to do with this?

None of what you're saying matters. Black enrollment at UT is 4 percent. At A&M it's a whopping one percent less. If we're talking about football, asian and hispanic enrollment aren't relevant in this discussion. Take your politics into another thread...there are plenty of them.

The website I got mine from was only referring to undergraduates. Other than that, I don't know how to explain the difference.

www.collegenet.com is where I got my information.

Better football, baseball, basketball teams. Pretty much better across the board.

We beat you 50-20, and it could've been worse. So you know what? The Longhorn football team IS that good, and the Aggies football team DOES suck. And The Gutless Wonder you hired as coach isn't going to turn things around.

That is a really good question.

    Texas at Austin
    3% International
    3% African-American
    16% Asian
    61% Caucasian
    13% Hispanic

    That only equals 96%.

    A&M
    1% International
    2% African-American
    3% Asian
    67% Caucasian
    7% Hispanic

    That leaves 20% unaccounted for.

Could the remaining students be listed as "other?"

The Princeton Review is a very impartial and generally accurate source. I know that when I was at A&M, we had a LARGE Middle Eastern and Indian population...that is a racial demographic not represented in the numbers above.

At some point over the next year or 2 you will be called upon to defend that statement. Words taste MUCH better with mustard BTW. :)

He turned around two programs that were down in the dumps, and yet you don't think he can turnaround a program that hasn't had a losing season in 14 years? I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree. I'm not saying we're going to be competing for the Big 12 title anytime soon, but thinking the Aggies aren't going to get better is just wishful Longhorn thinking.

    Puedlfor,

You are more blind than a bat, you think your longhorns are light years ahead of the aggies. We can compete with the longhorns in any sport. You beat us 50-20 sure, but RC knew he was getting fired and did not have a good coaching day. He had alot on his mind like losing his job, and Brondon Fails a Defensive lineman who dead a week before the game.

Speaking of democrats, I stopped at a book/music store in Arlington this morning to blow some hard-earned cash on CD's, when I noticed the place was flooded! There was a line outside stretching all the way down the street. I fought my way in, and what do you know, Al and Tipper were signing copies of their book.

    ...just thought I'd mention it.

And I don't really mind that. For some reason I don't have the same distaste for Longhorn basketball that I do for Longhorn football. Under the right circumstance, I might even root for the Longhorns. I love watching TJ Ford play.

As for Aggie basketball, they might not be half bad this year. They got off to a good start beating both LSU and Tennessee.

EDIT: Nevermind, they just went into overtime against Prairie View. :D

Hmmm...pretty much. Although it was nice to see A&M win last year in Austin. :)

If I have to defend those statements, it means that A&M is winning . . . and I'm willing to bet that Fran will be moving along to make 4M a year in the NFL. In which case I'll eat those words gladly.

Where is TCU now? Where will Bama be next year? He goes to a school, has a year or two of success and moves on. It is his pattern. And he leaves in particularly chicken**** ways. Showing up at the Heisman presenatation in an Alabama tie with an Alabama representative, not even looking his players in the face when he left Bama, after practically begging them to stick around because they were going to go through those tough times together. He used up those two schools, then discarded them like dirty Kleenexes.

If you can compete in any sport with the Longhorns, why aren't you? We ARE light years ahead of the Aggies right now.

The Longhorn football team is in the top ten, with only two losses on the season. And we consider this a dissapointing season. The Aggies football team is 6-6, staring no bowl visit in the face. That's light years of difference.

Basketball? No. 2 in the nation.

    Baseball? Defending National Champs.

Maybe it will change in time., but if it does, I'll wager a significant portion of my net worth that Franchione won't be part of it.

It is in double OT. Prairie View isn't nearly as bad as they used to be. They beat UH, and only lost to #8 Oklahoma by 8 points in Norman.

The Aggie basketball team just improved to 5-1, and don't go crying if the beat the overrated longhorn team. The Aggie Baseball team is good enough to beat your longhorn team. And the Football team can beat you as well, just like they did in 99 to a then so called better longhorn team.

I applaud your support of your team, but it is misplaced.
