nealy is still here. he's a good QB, not near the level of vince or reggie though. he's a good passer with a good arm and good accuracy. a very good runner though, especially at the D-1AA level. he has long strides kind of like vince minus vince's speed. and as far as moving up to the D1 level...a lot of people want it to happen within the next 10 years at the university but we never will with the stadium we have. it simply doesn't hold enough people and where it is located right by a major railway and aquarena springs dr. (the major road to the university from I-35), it will be tough to build onto. it will be interesting to see if it does happen because we have so many students here (27,000+), a coach with ties here and D1 coaching experience, and the support.

On a plus note: The Texas State Marching band is leaving for the game tomorrow which means that my music classes are canceled because alot of students won't be there. So no school for me tomorrow.

Yeah, it is a close game. TSU isn't making any more horrendous mistakes. TSU has some nice pressure. TAMU looks lead footed. TSU has some fresh legs.
i just had to run to the store at 13-7 and now i get back and it's even closer! hilarious. how did texas state manage to score twice and not fumble 3 more punts?
I'm not a fan of moral victories. Yeah TSU has no business being in this ball game but TSU should be winning right now. Defense is giving up too many big plays. A&M is going to pull away if the TSU offense gets demorralized cause the defense isn't helping.
even with that, if they don't muff a punt at like the 20 and then have their own punter fumble at about the 20, the game could've been tied. and just now they dropped an INT that hit them right in the chest, and it could've been returned pretty easily. just in terms of offense versus defense, this has been pretty much even, which is amazing.
