As an OSU fan, I have no horse in this race*, but I find your posts obnoxious and nearly insufferable. *Like A3PO, I am enjoying my bowl(s) of popcorn.
I've never heard of Iowa State before, much less did I realize it was in the Big 12. Just waiting on the pee-pee games to play out... only a matter of time. I hope BU and ISU land where they belong.
what? it's a tortious interference claim. it's based on the FOX contract. now isn't the time to sue, because FOX hasn't rescinded the contract yet. that's the wild card in all of this. A&M/SEC are asking them to waive all claims before the crap goes down. Who in their right mind is gonna do that given the amount of dollars at stake here? at this point, every school in the Big 12 has political cover to refuse to sign the waiver...because if any one refuses, SEC won't budge anyway...so why give up claims with nothing in return?
yeah, let me know when that happens. but you realize the distinction is the other schools would not be as damaged as those 2, right? if the Big XII dissolves and BU finds itself in a conference where media dollars are $5 million/year instead of $15 million, the difference is their measure of damages....on the other hand, if UT continues to get that kind of money in another conference, they're not damaged.
The only time people think he is clever or owning is when they agree with his positions. Otherwise he seems kind of like a jerk.
remember when i said it wasn't just about baylor... @1053thefan: BREAKING NEWS: @richiewhitt reporting that #Kansas and KSU are joining #Baylor in legal actions against A&M going to #SEC.
look at your own links it has happened... either way my school is in the SEC how much it costs them I no longer care I know just like you know they will play SEC football next year. I will be watching how the big 12 apocalypse ends up an no BU you can't come in my bunker. I guess you should have built one before the bomb hit.
AH HEM ChrisLevel Chris Level Okay, now being told none of the Big 12 schools have waived their right to pursue litigation against SEC. Am told Big 12 statement coming.
I very much get this, FYI I am just saying that I find it ironic considering how Baylor got into this conference and now still has nothing to show for it from a true value athletically. So I find it funny that they are getting what they are owed which appears to be far less than they have been earning all this time. If I was a Baylor alum I would be calling for people's head at my own institution for not being more proactive.
and if i was aggy, i'd be wondering why my new boyfriend will only take me with certain conditions. it's like saying, i'll date you, but only if you get girl cheerleaders.
there's not one school in the Big 12 that has signed that waiver, according to what's coming out now. not one.
Yes, of course. But by retaining this - let's call it what it is: threat, isn't Baylor more or less revealing its own fatal flaw? If they were a legitimate program of any viability, they would brush aside A&M and proactively look for their own bed to make. (That's what A&M did, after all.) Or roll-up their sleeves and start rebuilding the Big 12, A&M be damned. But they can't do either without a Longhorn or Sooner coattail to ride. So instead they retain their right to sue and make this a (potential) giant mess. Again, all because they don't have the wherewithal to make their own way in this topsy-turvey world of ours.
It's too bad there's no Jayhawkclonecats on the BBS for the Aggies to accurse for the crime of time-wasting.
If you could have TAMU and potentially get sued or have TAMU and not get sued... you'd take em and not get sued. Just a matter of time... matter of time. Then the rest of the jabronis can figure out where they're going instead of worrying about where TAMU is going.
Post both tweets. TTU,OU, OSU, UT and possibly mizzou to give assurances they will not sue. There is your answer from earlier Sam.
