The bridge with whom? With A&M? LOL! Baylor has nothing to lose by filing the law suit. You don't think Texas and Oklahoma (not to mention the remaining lower clout schools) are secretly elated that Baylor is doing the dirty work? Full disclosure: Baylor alum here.

I'm still waiting on you to post something substantive that isn't either a personal attack or just flat wrong.

by the way...in case you haven't noticed, my facts have been kicking your facts' ass for some time now.

Oh yeah, soirces from A&M and the SEC have confirmed they only need Baylor to reaffirm the pledge made on 9/2 because they are the only one to call and reneg on that pledge so stop the BS about other schools reneging too. Baylor is the only pathtic one here and other schools are in the same boat as bu

BU never gave a release...Beebe did that unilaterally. Then he had to send a retraction yesterday making it clear that his letter was not sent on behalf of member institutions, but on behalf of conference, generally.

Sources in the Big XII are telling ESPN that "maybe a few" will sign the release, but the rest won't because there's too much uncertainty with the Big XII, generally.

    http://espn.go.com/college-sports/s...-aggies-accepted-sec-legal-threat-delays-move

However, despite the letter, Slive was informed more than once before the SEC vote Tuesday night that "maybe more than one" of the other nine Big 12 members were considering legal options against a possible Texas A&M move, according to a person familiar with the situation.

"(The SEC) thought it was clear and free without any possible issues. That is not what happened," said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the private nature of those discussions.

The Sept. 2 letter was not intended to waive the rights of individual schools to sue and that decisions like that need approval from various boards of regents and other university overseers, the person said.

"That certainly is not going to happen soon. You are not going to get all nine. You might get some," that person told the AP. "Very few, if any, are willing with the uncertainty and instability of the Big 12 at this point to release their claims."

In a text message, Texas Tech's Bailey confirmed that the university's board of regents would have to waive the school's right to pursue legal action. He also said Big 12 members were planning a conference call later Wednesday

No, no, no. Texas is the Palpatine. The Aggies are the Jedi council who mistakenly ignored this Sithlord in their midst for years. Except of course, the LHN is the Death Star but it can't get to most star systems so it's super-dangerous and a pathetic joke at the same time. Baylor is like.. I don't know, Cloud City on Bespin or something. They have more to lose if the Empire/Republic dissolves so they are suing them.

    link?

TTU's Bailey is quoted in that last article as saying they would need to waive their rights in order for the SEC to take on A&M.

The only pathetic thing Baylor did was that silly webpage. As for the rest of this, it is the A&M patheticness (or lack of math ability) that caused this whole thing when they declined to go in on the network with Texas. Even if it wasn't a 50/50 split, it was better than nothing. Now everyone is paying the price for A&M's lack of vision (getting in on the Star Wars theme going here).

Since we're in a different conference, I'd imagine something from Star Trek, perhaps Battlestar Gallactica... hell, maybe even Babylon 5 or Wing Commander.

    @Chrislevel

"It should be noted that #TexasTech along with OU, OSU, & UT have waived their right to sue in all of this. Again, Big 12 teleconference at 12"

For those of you who don't know, chris level is the guy when it comes to Tech.

ok..so is the implication then that all of the other 5 schools did NOT waive their rights?

Dude, STFU. I've stated many times that I'm fine with a move to wherever. Don't bring me into this stuff.

Mizzou isn't going to file a lawsuit against the SEC either since that is where they want to be.

According to an OSU insider, Oklahoma is trying to help secure landing spots for all of the original BIG 8 schools.

Guess who that puts on the outside looking in? Baylor who is kicking and screaming because they see the inevitable on the horizon.

UofH is nowhere near any of these conversations, unless you subscribe to the idea the big 12 is salvagable, then yes...perhaps they become a banaid school.

That's pretty much how I see it too. It's Big 12, Big East, or the Failboat conference.

A lot of chips have to fall right for the Cougars to win in this poker game, and unfortunately we have no control over anything.

But hey, it's fun to watch!
