wow, those numbers surprise me. i assumed the Aggies drew better number than that here in Houston. so much for my Houston market point.
Recent success. Yes, very critical factor...... TAMU has been to 2 Cotton Bowls in the past 5-6 years, has Mizzou really been better? Either way, as hard as a concept as this might be to understand -- recent success if almost completely irrelevant.
Where in that post does it indicate that A&M doesn't pull well in Houston? All that post shows me is that the SEC pulls about half as well as the Big 12 does, on average. You could expect that to nearly double if A&M was playing those SEC teams. (And if UH was playing Big 12 teams! )
I get your point but their programs have been doing better. Missouri was in the title hunt like 2, 3 years ago. I can't recall A&M being in the hunt since the Dat Nguyen days.
What is just fine exactly? The question was why is the Big 12 considered one team. Because UT makes tons tons tons more cash than anyone else. you seem bitter.
LOL - before a game has even been played. No need for name calling. Your immaturity prevails once again. Oh and A&M has lost its last 10 out of last 12 bowl games (1-9 in last 10). What a brand name program! Waves! Waves I tell you!!11!
LOL. Okay. I always say sucker BTW. Sucker. TAMU is small potatoes. Tech, OSU, and Mizzou are the better brand name. Got me. So everyone should just let em' leave then and stop all the whining.
how does he seem bitter? ou, instead of whining about how much ut is making, is looking to start their own network as well. out of the tv money from the huge deals big xill made with fox/espn last year, a&m, ut and ou are getting around $20 million each while the rest are $14-17. HOW ****ING TERRIBLE!!!!
Nah, it's not UT's fault. TAMU is leaving because they are looking out for what's best for them. Part of the reason why leaving is what's best for them at the moment is because UT has been given complete freedom to operate how it pleases by the Big 12. That's not UT's fault....they are also doing what's best for them. At the end, that's all you can want out of your institution.
so a&m is leaving because isu isn't good enough to start their own network? why should ut be punished because they've been so successful over the years while isu hasn't?
and my response was in response to the asseration that aggy is leaving because ut's a big fat bully that does what they want while keeping a foot on their minions. those minions who are making anywhere from $14-20 million a year from a huge tv deal signed after the defections last year.
they're not currently, but it sounds like some would like to prohibit them using their success to create an indie-network.
