I would have liked that too but I guess the whole issue of "Where are we gonna play?!" and B/CS business losing out.

They can just add 2382 standing room only seats, either way, nobody is gonna fill em'.

They averaged 100,884 last season. Only game under 100,000 was the Thanksgiving game against TCU.

Oh, so even more than 2,382 seats would be empty then, my bad.

Don't be annoying. It's a sell out team. You'll always have nose bleeds that don't get picked up. You have more barbs you can hit that actually make sense.

Good to see Kyle Field updated and I'm sure it will be great for the renewed enthusiasm because of SEC football. At some point, UT is going to rebuild the north endzone and pass up Kyle. I hope they don't because that will block the view of downtown.

Let me guess. That picture was from the 1 minute mark left in the lost against TCU? Come on.

The nature of the discussion was the teams ability to sell out. Counting people in a game with a minute left in a loss has nothing to do with how many people buy seats and show up to the game.

That's all I'll say. Not my intention to do a UT-aTm back and forth in the aTm thread.

But in any case, it's kinda annoying that the media is making sure to point out how it's bigger than DKR. Kyle desperately needed renovations and capacity expansion with the growth of our student body and joining a new conference and it's silly to suggest that the new capacity had anything to do with Texas.

Chancellor Sharp has the right idea (link)

Aggies are building a powerhouse there in college station. Moving to the SEC and hiring Sumlin was genius.

we'll see how they'll do once Johnny goes to the NFL after next season

Alabama and LSU are still out-recruiting A&M

remember Sumlin left Dodge once Keenum was gone...will the NFL come a-knockin'?

Sumlin will be in the NFL very soon. It's really just a matter of time. Manziel will also be gone after this season.

They've done well for themselves, but "powerhouses" aren't built in the span of a year. Need to prove themselves over the course of multiple years. That'll be the true indicator.

Working in higher Ed, the amount of money spent by state run and federal/state funded institutions disgusts me to no end.

you do realize the athletic budget is 100% independent of federal/state funding, right?

Maybe. However, there are a couple of highly rated QBs backing up right now. It isn't like the situation at UH where you had Keenum and not much after Keenum.

I saw the Spring game. They're not even close to Johnny

then OU beat out A&M for the top QB recruit, Justice Hansen

If you're going to draw conclusions from the Spring Game, you're doing it wrong.

Not quite. Kind of hard to tell, but I think that is a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter against Wyoming. Yeah...definitely a fair representation of what game day is really like there.
